Yup, definitely down. Good thing I decided to head to Borlis Pass before questing in the Ascalon Foothills, otherwise I'd have had to go through all of those Stone Summits and Snow Ettins again to get to Borlis. Oh well, decent experience for my R/W, and I actually have a somewhat decent sword now thanks to a S.S. Sage.

Just got booted a minute ago, although there was terrible lag a few minutes before that. It'll be interesting to see what the actual issue was, assuming they eventually release that information. Interesting how some people can still be on playing while others can't even get in. Doesn't sound like a server issue, more a network issue of some sort...

i just had the worst lag spike of my life. it seems pretty obvious that the servers are packed. they should have limited the number of games that they sold... at least for awhile. does anyone else turn off local chat when they are in towns now? i can't stand all of the messages.

Yes, it's been a bit of a yoyo, and it's not the game that's have the trouble. As it turns out the data center is experiencing network issues. Yes, timing couldn't be worse.
We definitely know there are problems with connectivity and with in-game lag right now. We're really sorry this is happening, and are working with our service providers to get things straightened out as soon as we can. We don't have a timeline for you at this moment, but will post on the news page if we get any more info.

and here just a short time after the servers are down it's all fixed and it was also stated at the main page.
