anyone else agree with this trend?...
i'm actually purchasing fewer items till the market stabilizes.
i'm seeing alot of unident weapons req 8 being sold.
i'm seeing a alot of +45hp str shields and etc.
alot of guilds farm more then anything else.
but more importantly the market for 13-14% gold items is bottoming out.
selling for less then 80k which means the market is flooded. the market for what used to be perfect or rare items will follow. you can go to lion's arch and buy any common low req weapons for less then 150k.
i'd like verification from other collectors or farming guilds.
Prices are dropping for all items as items become more common.

What did you expect the economy to do? People are farming regardless of Anet's efforts to curb the practice. Can't believe how anyone would enjoy something as mindless as farming, but there are plenty who do. Most people have the weapons they need and collectors like me have completed our collections, and many people have fissure armor for all their characters as well. Sorrow's furnace will reinvigorate the economy briefly, but as it is, the inevitable result of less new players and increasing numbers of farmers and "maxed" characters is a dramatic decline in prices. Ecto should continue to drop, rubies and sapphires as well, and items. In the end, everyone who continues to play the game will have 1.4 million gold and all the items he or she wants. There will continue to be spikes of renewed trading activity when expansions and updates are released, and extraordinarily rare items like perfect sickles and storm bows and shields will generate some interest, but the bids will be astronomical because so many of us have essentially infinite supplies of wealth and nothing to spend it on.

I don't have anywhere near an infinite supply of wealth. Is there something I'm missing?
edit: But I agree, prices do seem to be going down. Saw a 15>50 req 8 (gold, not collector) longsword going for 50k in LA the other day too bad I didn't have any money.

Couple of solutions i can think of:
A) Increase money storage cap. With more cash available, price ranges on various items will start to spread out.
B) Massive Nerf. Not very favourable, but heavily decrease drop rates, people will always find new build for farming, so decreasing drop rates is the most effectiev means of curbing farming.
C) Reset. A little extreme yes but granted it would set the economy back to a 'reasonable' state.

The drop rates already suck. And the people selling unid's for the most part are Asain Botters. I always add a couple to my friends list just to watch. They never log off. And if their name is "PT XXX" or "Pk XXX" or "Hua ###" etc. they are botters. I think the reason that Anet bans botters is that they know the botter is going to purchase another $50 version of the game, which equates to more money for Anet.

i dont think prices are dropping because people farm so much i think it's because more people are getting into trading and more people know there prices noobs that have there's a lot of people that play this game and items drop everyday it's not that everyone is farming its that more people are bringing items into trade economy

Prices are dropping.
My business before was buying high-end upgrades (+30hp, enchant, etc) then reselling them for a 10k profit each upgrade. Now...prices are so low, the profit margin is so small its not even worth the time advertising anymore.
