Whats more fun ... Ranger or Necro ?

I just deleted my 4th pve character to try necro or ranger. What do you think would be more fun to play and what would be better for HOH ?

I love my ranger. he can disrupt, trap, do runs, nuke with barrage. rangers are just so versitile. but if you cant decide go N/R or R/N. i dont know about HoH since i never pvp so i cant give you any advice there.

i have the most fun with my necro, it also seems like the easiest class to me, lots of fun

Def a necro, i play both an N and an R and the Necro is much more enjoyable, especially goin on a farm run with some monks at rankor.

Ranger. If frog's prophecy is to be trusted, more new pets are coming ...... and you can still play as a secondary necro with better armor.

I have played both, and played them together. My own opinion is that they are a great combo!

They both can be fun. I would choose a Necro though.

Necro/Ranger gets much of the Ranger's diversity + plenty of energy to use Necro skills. A R/N has the N side limited by energy, both with 1 pip less regen and Bow's not providing extra energy like Staffs/Wands/Foci.

Working on a Necro/Ranger beastmistress, myself. Blood and Curses sound pretty neat to tag on with BM.

Oranges. Oranges are so much better than apples. Oh, and if you want a secondary, I'd take rock. Good old rock, nothing beats rock.

id go r/n you get the armor bonus and expertise which cuts down the cost of skills. saving you more energy for nec skils my first character was a r/n and its by far the most versatile character ive played as both rangers and necros are extremely adaptable.

There are only like three Necro skills. I like Necros better, as I have four of them...(3 accounts)...but I don't like my N/R very much...Don't think it mixes very well.

I am sorry to report that they are equally fun.

In arena, I had my longest streak at Yak’s Bend with my n/me, but overall had more fun with my r/e.

In PvE, it’s a tossup. An army of maggotty minions enchanted with Death Nova, or Barbed Trapping the runners at Aurora Glade. Great good fun.

Hehe, I'm trying to decide the same thing. I have 2 lvl 20s & a PVP char, so I only have 1 PvE slot left until I buy another copy of the game *yes I'm that big a nerd lol*. I'm just going to look at the skills I have unlocked for PvP right now, and whichever I need more skills unlocked on, I'm going to make that character. I never PvP with regular characters, especially when I can put together a character for free, in 5 minutes, with max everything. I've also seen some R/N or N/R builds that people seen to enjoy to play.

Ranger is more direct damage than necros...I see the split as a:
Direct damage ----------------------------- Indirect damage
War/fire or air ele/ranger -------monk-------water or earth ele, necro, mesmer

So it basically depends on how much of a damage or support role you want to play.

Necro. I love my Nightmare Of Llama. Always play for the minions.

Necro is more fun but i just made a N/R and i'm pretty happy with it
