Yay... a build with wither and malaise. What's wrong with this picture?

Wither and Malaise lose to focus switching.
And please for the love of god don't use Ether Lord - it's absolutely horrible.

I faced a malaise spammer and even though I did focus switching, it was annoying as hell.

How can it be ? You just have to use your energy normaly and when you have something like 12/15 just switch and Wither + Malaise will disapear. Of course you will lose your energy regen for a few seconds but your ennemy lost two slots (and one is his elite...).

You can get better Health/Energy degen using 3 skills...
...Migraine, Conjure Phantasm, and Power Leak. I never liked Migraine, but I'm becoming more of a fan because once your target is slow-casting, you can cast Conjure then still Power Leak whatever they try to cast. One 20+ energy Power Leak drains more in one shot than wither and malaise combined ever will. You're not going to get RoF, but use your 3 pt wand dmg to burn it and get them when they go for a heal or remove hex.
The only real caveat is that as with all interrupters, it isn't fire and forget. You are pretty much dedicated to locking down and killing one target - although, you can spread some degen around while waiting for your target to cast that heal.
