My Profession and Races Suggestion (Again)

A shapeshifter would have basic armor like a monk or some other class like the ranger but when he shifts forms he gets that new armor rating on the creature that has taken the form of and gets like 4 of there skills obviously this would be very hard to pull off but i think something that is like a druid based class would be cool, they would take the form of what ever creature they have seen so the elites skills would be Example Glint the Giant lvl 30 odd Dragon but this is only a example of what the elites would be like the other skills would be basic creatures like tundra giants and such they would have to shift back to there normal form before they go into another one, and i think it would be more of a ritual that would take a few seconds until they change into some huge creature that would scare the crap out of the other players like a siege worm from the desert just gaurding the shifters hall...

something in the racial category would be like vampire and werewolf Races that would be very powerful but easily countered by a smiting monk, holy, or silver dmg dealing weapon, they would be immune to the mesmers trickery b/c we all have suffered from them the werewolves mind would be to primitive and the Vapires would be to complex and the spell or hex would be thrown right back at them, they would get a racial bonus of +3 to the Warrior and Necromancer professions only the Werewolf being the warrior and the Vampire being the Nercomancer, the werewolf cant use weapons b/c it only has claws and his teeth, but can get enchantments for there claws to do more dmg the highest being the max dmg of a hammer, so the dmg would be that of a hammer and skill of a warriors but mostly all of the dmging skills would be that of a axe they take holy dmg differently than vampires they would get x1.5 instead of the usual double and the vampire would get triple for being a higher demonic being that is declared undead. the werewolf can't wear armor, and the vampires armor would be like a necros but alot tougher to get through b/c the vampires have lived for centuries and would be rediculous if they died with in seconds unless it would holy dmg being dealt to them, the werewolf would get double dmg only from silver weapons holy weapons wont have any effect on them only smites and banishs from monk can deal more dmg to them...i would like some feed back on this to see what you guys think thank you.

Ummm... why didn't you just /bump your old post instead of starting a new one?

Aside from that...

This game doesn't need more spellcasters... it needs more melee. Brawler, Ninja, Rogue, whatever... doesn' matter what it's called as long as it's melee!

It also doesn't need more races... this isn't WoW!

Pirate! I'm using Inflict with Scurvy!

Honestly, Werewolves and Vampires are not races. They are sub-races, at best. It's like calling midgets (no offense intended) a different race. Nor do they belong in this game, as they would just increase the effectiveness of Smite Monks, and simultaneously making Warriors and Necromancers better than everyone else.

What we need is for mods to start closing pointless new class and race suggestions.

Its an idea but, as Volten said, too powerful. Turning into Glint? Probably the toughest monster in the game? As an elite skill? That would be something to see :P

Yes a rogue would be awesome

30 base energy, 3 energy regeneration

Pimary attribute - Stealth - With each attribute of stealth, your attack speed is increased by 1% and run speed by 0.5%

Camoflague (spelling?) 10 energy - stance - For 4-12 seconds you become NEARLY invicible with the environement, you do not appear on the radar map when this skill is on you (you can still click on the target though). Camoflague ends if you take damage.

Dirt Grave 25 energy - Elite Skill - 3 sec activation - Cover up the closest enemy corpse for 5-10 seconds, corpse does not appear on radar map and can not be ressurected or used for any corpse targeting skills.

Smoke Bomb - 15 energy - Skill - 1/4 sec activation - Drop a smoke bomb in the area covering the area with smoke for 10-25 seconds, people inside the smoke only can see the other people in the smoke or on the map and people outside of the smoke can't see the people inside or on the map. Any target corpse/ally/foe skills that target that area can't be used while smoke is activated

Dagger Mastery -Quick two wielding dagger attacks, damage increased with attibutes here.

Blinding Slash - 5 energy - dagger attack - If target foe is blinded, you deal an addition 1-11 damage.

Endurance - Evasion/Defesive/Other stuff here.

Survival Tactics - 10 Energy - Stance - For 5-10 seconds, if you take damage from a foe, that foe is blinded for 2-5 seconds.

Assassination (couldn't think of a good attribute for the 4th one) These skills here let you do cool things.

Stunning attack - 10 energy - melee attack If this attack hits, your target is stunned for 2-5 seconds.

been suggested to death already.
I would agree another melele character would be nice and a knife weilding charchter could be cool as a different approach then someone with swords. However, stealth, stealing, and such either wont seem to work in the GW gamplay or infringe on being similar Ranger skills.

Well i would like to thank everyone who has posted here with feed-back and i would like to know if you think it would be better if there was a quest to become a werewolf or vampire, and the shapeshifter i was only giving examples the glint suggestion was pretty wierd i know, but even i think that it would be WAY to powerful but i think the rest of the shapeshifter profession i gave was pretty balanced b/c they get the creatures armor so they could get weaker or stronger in the armor department.... well i would still like to have some feed back on this newly added info.

personally i think that with the two class combinations they have covered almost all possible ideas for classes.
these ideas for rogues are starting to get old. basically they are evasion ranger/warriors who can also steal money off enemies (usually, not always)
and Ninjas.
shapeshifter is an idea but what if you echo/arcane echo you best shape so that you never come out?

oh and another prob with the shapeshifter. this one class can change into a close combat form and dish it with the best of them, or switch into a caster or ranged form. giving it the total all rounder problem.

No races, please. We don't need them creeping in. Classes, maybe. Any race can be the available jobs. Humans are from Ascalon and thus are Ascalon humans. Any others wouldn't make sense.

ok you cant help if the makers of GW would want to put in new races like dwarf or elf or something like that. they may even come up with a completely new stroy line with the next expansion which i hope that they do b/c right now it is getting a little bit boring when you beat the game all the missions aren't challengeing anymore and the only thing you can do is restart and deal with the low lvls who dont know what the heck they are doing or pvp the rest of the time trying to get as many skills as you can. so adding a little twist like races or sub races would make it more interesting and maybe more challangeing well this is just my opinion.

I'd like it if you would stop suggesting things that make this game more like WoW, thanks.

And for the record, the profession you came up with had already been suggested to death before you suggested it.

i wouldn't make any sense if humans are the only playable characters in a fantasy world. How about the elves(not yet in the GW world) and dwarves?, should they just sit there and wait for the humans to save their world?

"FANTASY WORLD," humans are not the only hero there.

Shapeshifter?.... why not implent a skill for hunters to shapeshift, they're more the nature-type of fighters so ability to shapeshift into animals or your pet would be handy maybe.

Vampires; useless idea, Necromancers are like 'vampires' already... life / energy leeching skills ;p

Werewolves ... no weapons? that would mean their strength would be either level or *strength*-attribute points dependant, I don't think they would have much to choose for .. battle-abilities that is.

I don't agree with 2/3rd of the idea, they idea's are nice but somehow useless maybe, Shapeshifter would be a nice implentation for hunters, like I said.

Fantasy world? Dude this game is human with exceptional skills that fight against monsters like Charr and Grawls, I don't think Werewolves and Vampires would side with humans ^^;;

They'd be the enemy, this game should have logical too ... ofcourse the game is fictionary, but still as human being ally with werewolves/vampires... I don't think that'll work.

Besides they should change ALOT in the game to implent them.

I never said anything about being allies with them b/c now that the mursaat are dead *spoiler alert for anyone who cares* then they would need a new story line i was only suggesting that they should make a story line like that where the regular humamoids could go against the werewolves or vampires something like that just so that there could be a little bit more challenge in pvp and gvg and that would be about it the werewoves not haveing any weapons i think is a must b/c did you read what else i put on them besides no weapons and some armor claws that deal the dmg of hammers and skills of an axe i think that would cover haveing no weapons and the attributes would be strength, * obvious* natural armor, claw and tactics i think that should cover most of what was in this qoute so the bottom line is that i was just sugesting some twists that i think would have been fun for other players who didn't just want to be humanoids all the time. well i hope this new info will bring me more feed back regardless of what it may be.

it isn't a matter of hating wow, as that game is very good in its own right

i just don't want to see gw turn into it, as they're both very different games and i would like them to stay that way

how about a class that isnt based on dealing damage, so not a ele, or a wizard, but unlike the mesmer as it wouldnt debuff, it would buff.

i saw an amazing suggetsion a while back for a strategist, that would be like shouts and they would buff the team, but if the team works together in coherence with the shouts then there is some sort of bonus

A strategist would be like spellcaster-professions or Rangers, because most of the time they stand back and attack from distance, so it's better to give them the skills.

Warriors are short-range attackers, so they're not the profession that is best for making strategic choices since they don't have much time to get an observate the enemies and the level, spellcasters can cast spells while observating the environment.

So they don't need a whole new profession for that.
