Should I go buy the game or wait for lag to stop?

Is the game virtually unplayable now due to lag and network issues? If I go out and buy the game from the store, will it just be a waste of time?

This is just a temporary issue with ArenaNet's ISP (there are no problems with ANets servers!), it should be over soon and it's not likely to happen again.

no it wont be a waste of time, its a new game, so of course they will some technical issues at first, but its a great game so you should get it

I do want to get it, but coming from WoW, when there were network issues the game was unplayable for days at a time. If it is like that, I just as soon wait a few days for Arena.net to fix the kinks and so forth. But if the issues are in fact minor, I'd like to go ahead and get the game.

They had a little server down for 30mins... Now it's palyable perfectly fine.
It is a greate game and you won't pay any montly fee.... so if you Buy it now you won't lose anything. Even if it would be unplayable right now you don't lose any days which you have paid for.
The team from Arenanet worked greate in my opinnion because they solved the problem in a very short time!

Compared to WoW's launch, this game's launch has been incredible. Go ahead and buy the game. Even when there's lag, it's still very playable.

It's fine most of the day, but been really laggy all night. 6am to 3pm EST today was no lag, game played great.

been playing all day and only had a small lag spike which turned out to be a problem with ArenaNet's isp-- which they seemed to have fixed since for the rest of the day I didn't have any problems with lag.

I have been playing for 3 days now pluss the Beta and Never had any Lag It might be just a few peoples PC's But my PC is 2.5 yrs old and GW runs great on the highest setting

Perhaps if the issues persists, ArenaNet will extend your free play period by a few days
