mark of pain


this may seem a silly question,but when i use mark of pain on a mob,when it gets phisicaly atacked does mark of pain also deals dmg to the mob geting atacked?

Does mark of pain trigger only on weapons with slashing, piercing and bashing damage or does it work with a sword equipped with a fiery sword hilt?

Mark of Pain only triggers on physical damage, so Fiery sword hilt would null the effect, which is why some people suggest tossing up a Greater Conflagration behind an obstacle to counter damage spikes based on Order of Pain/Vampire spam (which has the same condition of physical damage).

I run a Ne/Mo build and like to pair mark of pain up with Spiteful Spirit and a hoard of bone minions, you should see the no of 32's flashing up over the enemy mob Especially good on some of the larger mobs of Giants and trolls in Snakedance.
