Hmm.. GW will most likely be a distant memory by then.

6 months in video game terms is a loooong time. By then you'll have PS3, XBOX2, and loads of other games out. What I really meant though, was that it'd be a distant memory for me, not for everyone. The memory isn't what it used to be...

I was hoping more for January than March/April - I could be on to other games by then too

Its true...6 month is a long time. We waited a long time for the new update, and thats because it was free. I think come March, GW is going to start to die out really quick. Especially with MMO games coming out like Dungeon & Dragons or Dark&Light.

Perhaps it will for you, sure won't for me. If I get bored, I'll take some time off, no fee so I don't have to worry about playing every day or cancelling my account etc. I can leave whenever I want and come back whenever I want. I've liked the game very much so far (600+ hours over 4 characters), still having fun with my original character. You can bet I'll be getting #2.

I wasn't waiting for it. I could pretty much care less that its coming out today. The only thing I'm looking forward to is the reset of the ladder and hopefully some faction rewards inbetween the PvPX and current levels.

6 months is "forever" in "kid time" but plenty of adults are playing this game and will continue to play it "gasp" 6 months from now because well we can wait "forever" since we're still having fun.

the people who are *desperate* for new content for something to do and are bored are thinking in terms of this game has to be played constantly and as fast as i can.

they burn themselves out playing every moment they can and wonder why it is getting boring.

i *GASP* read book, garden, have other things i enjoy doing that are more important.

when i play i have fun because i WANT to play and not feel i HAVE to play.

latest reports show GW is still riding high and is very successful so far and things are getting better not worse.

put it back on the shelf for a bit and play/do something else and come back when you will have fun doing it.

it WILL welcome you back as if you had never left

think! 6 months from now + games been going 3-4 months so thats about 10 months as apossed to the "6 months between each chapter" statment they made.
not that i mind personaly plenty to play until then on pc and ps2 + still havin fun in the game collecting max golds and farming/helping others with missions.and should have ps3 by then aswell cant wait for chapter 2 though hope its worth the wait.
and going off there first attempt chapter 2 will probably be awsome.

actually it might be june 06 as they only said *first half 06* and Alex stated clearly the approximately 6 months would start with chapter 3 and chapter 2 would be sent out when it was ready but not later than the end of first half 06 which could be JUNE 30 of 06

which could be 9months from now

i will wait (and play OBLIVION)

I bought the game the day it came out here in australia i have 2 toons both have ascended but i havent been past thunderhead keep (i want to i just havent had the time) so i still have plenty to go. I also have never been to UW and FOW (but i want to...lol). I play when i can but because of family comitments (kids, life, sport) its allowing me to enjoy the game more.

I realise some people want to get thru the game so they can feel uber 1337 as well.

People just rush thru a game then expect more content as soon as they are ready. slow down smell the roses go back and help newbes instead of laughing at them. But please dont say crap like its dieing and im moving on cos as far as life goes for online games WoW has been out much longer, halflife still has a huge following and other games that have been around years.
So GW has a longway to go before we lay it to rest in the catacombs.
