Honestly all this focus on builds draws away from one key factor, teamwork. Out of ALL the pugs my guild has faced in tombs I havent met ONE that focused and most of the time they hit hard targets like warriors. I am sure some of you noticed last night Blood Eagles were holding HoH for a bit and this was the reason. We had 2 pugs both try to sandwich us and since they all attacked their own thing they got slaughtered. People need to listen and hit the T button when a target is called cause unless you have a complicated strat thats the only way a pug will win against an organized force. This isn't meant as a flame but an attempt to get you all to realise that you can't do "your own thing"
Oh please don't accuse me of hacking as well

it is unbelievable how many are in capable of aplicating the thing they just read... so far... GW is a great game, but 80% of the people in PvP is a great lamer.
Also... people need to stop thinking about how they can heal themselves in a 8vs8 battle when there are more than 2 monks in the party...
The moment you see 2 monks in the party... you should only bring 1 heal at most... and thats not all, only the few should have heal by themselves... when there are 3 monks, you can almost completely drop heal as an attacker. When you get 4 monks, no one should bring heal except the monks... (and the backstab solo).

Amen for the 'T' button. It is the most useful button for PvE and PvP ever.
Just do T.
Just do T.

Pick up groups. Teams that aren't organized and just come together on the fly.
The single greatest strategy known to man, 'Press "T" to select my target!'

I think this is the first time people are more angry in their post than me
Yeah I am kinda pissed at 1) healer henchmen being so shitty but still is better than 50% of monks 2) removing the "hit t to select my target(its still there when you die and call targets)

I played a few with a few pugs the last few days and I've had it. It's ridiculous, everytime I feel like we might actually work together "Go after the monk!"... sounds good. Going after the monk may need to change if you're having to run all the way across the map past other primary targets. I actually watched on of my groups get slaughtered chasing a monk around while the other team cleaned up. Sometimes I wish there was a "suicide" build ... lol.
Now that I have decided against going PUG I now feel the world of GW to be a very small and lonely place. I guess you pick and choose. I don't mind doing quests and all, but GW feels alot like Baldurs gate or something right now. I do miss you guys, look me up, but I'm not doing PVP with anyone that doesn't at least know that the number row keys are somewhat functional. Oh and T works pretty darn good.
Finally, I would also like to point out the "T" is great if someone ACTUALLY calls a target, but more important, you are targeting random foes, you might consider using "C" instead of "TAB." Just a thought.

So what you're saying is... that in a game called "Guild Wars", teamwork works best?
Astounding.
But I agree. No uber-build will ever beat solid teamwork.

I swear to all I hold holy. I was playing with PUGs all night last night and not ONCE did I ever find a group that could differentiate between attacking people randomly and solid single target shot calling.
I told every single group. "Anyone want to call targets?"
Silence.
"Ok I'll call targets. Press t to assist me. Kill the targets of opportunity first. Monks/Mages. DOn't chase."
We meet the opponent, they all rush off to attack some warrior monk who charged in first and I'm all alone getting raped by the entire opposing team. Sometimes it gets so frustrating.
