Ok I have contacted support to explain when I enter the retail version of the game it tells me its in use and I should get another CD key. When they repleied they say I should buy a full version of the game lol. I DO have a full version! I scratch the think off and added that key to my existing account (or tried to) butI get the response. "that cd key is already in use"

Are you mixing up a o for a 0 (zero)? I have done that before. Just read your keycode very slowly. Some times I skip a letter that is repeated twice in a row. If this isn't your problem I do not have a clue what to do then.

no.. I dont even have O ir 0 or o in my CD key. the Key is valid it just says its in use

Send them a picture of the box and the key and such (not us, Arenanet support or whomever you need to contact) so they belive your story a bit more.

I have a similar problem everytime I've tried to enter my key I get an invalid key notice. The company that I bought the game from claim that no other person in this area has had a similar problem. If anyone has any idea what might be the problem please post.

I had a similar problem, the font on the serial after scraping the silver was small so it was hard to tell between 6/8/9 in some spots.
If you have any of those or similar mistakes you can try different ones, it took me about 6 tries before I got it right.

someone could not have opened the box and used the key because he said he scratched to code thing himself, if all else fails just type in numbers and letters till your eys pop out and mybe youll get lucky

Yep, 8's and B's look nearly identical. Look closely, try different combos, and keep at it.

Look, his problem was not that it was invalid, but that the game said it was IN USE BY SOMEONE ELSE.
