How do I get my trackball to zoom camera

I have a trackball with no scroll wheel on it. Is there a way to zoom the camera in without it?

I have the older Logitech Trackman with no scroll wheel and I got mine to zoom by setting the middle button to "middle button function" in mouseware software. Then just hold the middle button and track up and down to zoom. Hope this helps
