for that matter, if i get green items that i/my guild mates/ or my imediate close friends dont use. i will probably just give them away in ascelon!
i hope you will all do the same, i have already seen sell threads started that have opening bids of 500k or more! and i think that is just sad!

I think 2k is a bit low for such rare items, but I agree with you that they should be sold very cheaply, but as rarer items are going to become more commonly accessible the prices should go down...in theory.

As soon as people put out lists of what bosses drop which items and people start realizing that the drops are fixed, I think the ridiculousness will stop.

Price should have nothing to do with rarity, and everything to do with demand for the item. Just because it's green doesn't automatically make it worth 2K or more.
And if demand can be met by simply going out and killing the boss that has the item, then even 2K will eventually be seen as overpriced.

I'll join your 2k crusade. I may offer spurious green items for sale in different districts for 2k and spam it to hell so the 2k price really gets into people's subconciousness.

I'd be really surprised if these were selling for more than 5k within a couple of weeks. They're just too common and easy to get. You can't get 10k for the vast majority of rares out there. These are going to be more akin to collector items than gold rares.

For a comparison, look at the max armor Crimson Carapice Shield that's +45 health/-2 damage in stance. It's perfect, and it normally sells for around 1.5K. Hard to get for beginners, but easy as heck to get for the more experienced.
That's what these green weapons will become. Unfortunately, unless there's a niche that isn't covered by them, it will bring the associated purple and gold items with the same or lesser stats down as well.

try reducing the amount of henches you take with you. lots of enchant removal so i don't know if the invisimonk would work or not with 1-2 henches

I'm sure this has been said before, but Gold Items with good mods and good models will always sell for much more than the new green items, even if the green item is exactly the same in every way.
This is because the Gold Item has asthetic value. Just like people will pay for 15k armor when 1.5k armor is available. Green items are the 1.5k armor equivalent for weapons.

Ok, after my post I got to GF and SF and realised that they actually aren't that rare at all, I think green items should sell for about 5-10k at the most. Although because of the higher amounts of good drops now i'm sure there will be generally lower prices.

I was using a collector's Smiting Staff with +5 energy/+20% enchantment duration because I couldn't stand the curly-Q graphic on the Divine Favor Staves.
The only reason I bought it was because the oriental staff graphic was "tolerable". The ability to have my protection spells recharge faster, and actually have my points in a stat so I can attack with my weapon were just icing on the cake.

Green items are worth LESS than collector one/two handed weapons because they CAN'T be moded, collectors items can, just can't be salvaged. 500g-1.5k for Greens. Also, its more difficult and time consuming to farm for items to trade to collector's. Boss farming is alot quicker, and in some cases, much easier.
