I've tryed multiple ways of getting this to work. When I first installed it I put it on my desktop. Then I moved the folder to "Guild Wars" and it wouldn't work, I just got a message in my options menu saying "DirectSong has encountered an error, please send an e-mail to...".
I then moved everything out of the Sorrow's Furnace direct song folder into the Guild Wars folder, still didn't work. I then moved all the wma files into the Guild Wars folder, still didn't work.
Can someone please explain to me what I'm doing wrong?
How do you get Guild Wars to run DirectSong?

No access to GW folders right now, but I'm assuming that there is a music file in the GW folder that you need to transferr the wma files (if they are that format) to. Putting them directly into the folder may not work as well, but inserting them into the music folder may help.
Again, no access here atm, but I think this may make it work, as it seems to make sense to me.

...go figure. Well, I'm lost on ideas. They may have something on their site explaining what to do with the files once they are downloaded.

It was pretty straightforward to install. You have to have Windows Media Player 10, though. Download the file (Sorrows_Furnace_Mini-Pak) from Directsong.com and run it. It will ask where you want to put the music files. I chose c:\Program Files\Guild Wars.
A screen will pop up asking for your directsong.com username/password. Then it will download the songs and finish the installation. Nothing to it.
Worked on 2 different PCs with no issues.

Give this a try, delete all the direct sound download files. Download the installer again.
*Important* when you run the installer change the location to somewhere else (my case was Mydocs folder -> GW folder). Once the files are in place don't move them.
I had issues with the official soundtrack due to moving the files after the install. It wasn't until I told it to go to a different directory from where it was picking up the "default" location that it kick in.
Also problems with WMP10 licensing can affect it too, as long as your licensed (you can play the music in wmp normally - not temp license either) it sounds like an issue it can't find the music.
