Creating Account through PlayNC Account

I have a PlayNC account in which I have both City of Heroes and Lineage 2 subscribed under. I would also like to attach my new Guild Wars game under this account as well for completeness as well as convenience. I just purchased a game from a retail store and surfed over to www.plaync.com.

I logged onto my account and hit the "Add Game" button in my Manage Account page. The next screen states that if you are enterring a 25 Digit Guild Wars CD Key, to click here and continue. So I did and entered all the correct info. When I complete filling out all the forms and hit next, it says that it is an invalid CD Key.

My friend has purchased the game from the same retailer at the same time I was there. He had no problem registerring his account at the start screen of the game (not attached to his PlayNC account) so I'm quite sure that it is not an invalid key.

Is anyone else experiencing a problem creating their Guild Wars account through their PlayNC account? Has anyone found a solution or have been given a solution by the support team?

I believe that there is a problem with the PlayNC / Guild Wars account creation system but would like to verify with others who may be experiencing this same problem. Any help would be appreciated.

(I refuse to register my account without attaching it to my PlayNC account. If I do register my game without attaching it to my PlayNC account, I will not be able to do so in the future. I'm obssesive compulsive with completeness, so the chances of me registering my account without it being on my PlayNC account is slim to none).

Do you have the Preorder or Standard edition?

I bought the Collector's Edition. I don't have a pre-order

I helped someone get their account last night through the NCSoft site, and I didn't see a place to put in Serial. Just did it in the game. Not sure if it tied it to their NCSoft account or not. You might consider going to the support page at the guild wars site and see what they say. Might need to make an account as well.

Funny you suggested this. I bought a second copy to see if it really was an invalid key problem. I first tried entering it at PlayNC and it did not work. However, I could enter it just fine at the start up screen in game. I guess the account creation works in game, but not at the NCsoft website.

I checked up and down the entire support page and sadly there was nothing on it. I'll give tech support a call today and if anything comes up, I'll post here for others who are having a similar problem.
