Unorthodx runner?

I was thinking about an elementalist build an noticed they have alot of enchants that could be useful for running. I have never made a runner specific build, so all you experts feel free to tear this up.

The idea is to utilize a big energy pool to buff yourself up with enchants that give +armor (frost and mist). Mist also give a speed boost. from there you can run the general sprint > endure. and throw a mist form whenever you can. i havent tried it, any thoughts?

Is this a Drok run build, or a generic runner?

from what i remember mist takes a long time to charge

not that the build sucks, but eles are just not good runners. Wanna run take a W/Mo.

Like 3 days ago this guy was spamming: Runner to droks, and there were a bunch of people that said to him: Go away, eles cant run! So I joined him, he died at first frost wurm, I ran the bunch of other people ( as I'm a W/mo myself) and ended up giving him 5K for his "effort".

Best runner I've ever had was a W/E, The Silent Edge.

See the thing with mistform is, you can get attacked, you just take 0 damage. Cripple, all that still works. You can't maintain it either from my knowledge. W/Mo is the best runner, W/E maybe, but I hav never seen any evidence to prove it.

Any combination of Ranger, Monk, or Warrior does fine.

with a 20% enchanting staff and echo you could most likely sustain mist form but you have to watch out for knockdowns. Mistform is 2 seconds i believe. You need Long speed boosts. One problem is that sprint is strength req and ele's dont have that. You would also need balanced stance

When just looking for speed, eles can do a lot:
Armor of mist with water magic at 15 will last 20 seconds (30 recharge).
The gap can be filled perfectly with the ranger's storm chaser. Perfectly because it's not a spell and can be used while running.

Biggest prob are the worms as they will knock you down.
