Titan Quests

I haven't seen any threads regarding this, so what do you guys think of the new Titan Quests? I did all five the night the patch was released, and I must say it was probably the most challenging and enjoyable PvE I have experienced in this game.
Monking in the Defend Kryta and Denravi quests was insane. The very last quest was pretty awesome as well. I for one hope they add more quests like these.

Didnt try yet...
Cant be done with henches huh? ^^

Ollj
definitely not doable with hencheman
Bast
Agreed, these quests own.
Lost
You can do the first one with henchmen.

when doing defend kryta did you go from lions arch? i tried that last night and with only 6 people it didnt work too well! i guess the only other option would to go to ToA get a group of 8 and fight north? any suggestions would be cool
Witchblade
yup first one quite easy with henches
Dont know about the next ones
with one 6/4 as max in party and henches are 10- lvl
And all that for 20k xp.. not worth the effort, xp has become pointless

I was thinking that too. Plus if you happen to need a hench at least they are a little more powerful.

So there's the first one in Mineral Springs, then the next 3, (Ascalon, Kryta, and Denravi) where is the final one?
I'm stuck on Defend North Kryta, and have the other 2 done. It's pain to build teams since some peeps seek for it in Lion's Arch, and some in ToA. I've done 2 unsucessful runs from ToA. One helpful note: On your way from ToA, just near the zone into North Kryta, there's a statue of Dywana you can kneel at and pay to get +10boost. Even with that, it's really tough. The waves come way too close together at the settlement.
I imagine optimally you'd have a necro along to destroy bodies, 2 healers, 2 nukers, and 3 tanks.
How hard is the final one? Any cutscenes? The patch notes mentioned something about new cutscenes didn't it?

Intricated
I've only completed the first one (Mineral Springs) with a PUG, but I imagine the Ascalon one is quite difficult to form a group or do with henchies (3 lvl 10 AIs vs. 5545435 Titans?!).
I think there's suppose to be 4 new cutscenes/cinematics, and I've encountered one so far at the end of the "Unspeakable; Unmentionable" (?) quest the High Priest gives you in Sorrow's Furnace.

Mesmer shutdowns + interrupts ftw!
I'm stuck on Defend Kryta. Defend Denravi is CAKE compared to Kryta.
Last Day's Dawn.. haha, I don't even want to think about that one. Oy.
Some perfect team builds for these quests involve 1 warrior, 2 monks (one with domination mesmer skills), a smiter, echo nuker(s), and a max bone fiend necro. Just make sure you keep Verata's Gaze from casting on the Titan Boss (as well as keeping the necro alive, obviously) during Defend Kryta or else you're facing the Bone Fiends as well. If that happens, it makes it quite a free for all. lol

One and Two
Ive done Defend Droknar's and Last Day Dawns. Neither was a challenge at all, but hey, they were a massive amount of fun.
Sekkendou
Yeah, Defend North Kryta is massively difficult to finish. THen again maybe it's just been my luck with getting teams together for it.
Zubrowka
I thought they made Last Day Dawns a bit too hard. Four person team means you're always out-numbered. I finished it only after dying like a dozen times. But I guess it's our own fault for not reequipping ourselves with more appropriate skills after our initial difficulties.
Link Ironhammer
Whats the point of doin these anyway
One and Two
Its easy (so far). Its fun.

Well few nights ago, a friend and I got a group together in yaks bend and ran to the ascalon titans quest. We were just cutting through the charr like butter that has been microwaved for us. We were on the last titan mob and the guild wars server crashed!!!
Needless to say, A.net owes me an appollogy and a box of cookies. Yes the box of cookies is a must! They better be whitechip macadanium!

how can server crash its never happened to me before
Blue Steel
I recommend Running backwards from ToA for Defend North Kryta (8 instead of 6) and from Yak's Bend (6 instead of 4) for the final final mission after the other 4 are done. They are still a true challenge, but not as frustrating with one or two PUG members who cannot carry their weight. All of these missions were awesome though!

So is there a sequence in these? I've only found the one that the Glint vision gives so far (defend Droknar's) and went to look for the others... I'm guessing now that you have to do them sequentially?
Thanks!
Thanks!

i have finished all mish and took droks def. quest
how to get this quest ?
how to get this quest ?
Vicha
Wow, we tried Defend North Kryta 3 times, with 8 good players. Came back to Lion's Arch to try different skill. For exemple, I did not expect that many monsters the first time. I brought Melandru's resilience as Elite. Bah! Came back with Barrage + Conjure lightning + my uber Lightning bow: NOW! that was effective. We made it almost to the end: three monsters were still alive, but too late. We died.
So, this quest is not finished, but I will try again tomorrow. Too much fun.
Any suggestions from those who made it?

I did it probably 5-8 times with different groups...
In the group I completed it in, we started it from Lion's Arch.
We had two monks, two ele's, and two warriors. I had everyone bring a res signet and the two monks also brought vengence and one warrior brought rebirth. It's also helpfull to have someone bring a remove hex spell because they put that hex on you that gives you -2 energy degen and if you dont remove it monks will find themself at less than 15 energy within 30 seconds of fighting.
This one was by far the hardest quest out of all five. I don't think you are gonna have a group that can do it first try, it's probably gonna take a couple of tries with the same group to get it.
Different builds will work differently, but I strongly suggest everyone takes rez signets and monks take vengence as well along with a remove hex remove spell. That is a req in my opinion.

If you've finished the game, you're supposed to go to the statue of Glint, located in Droknars Forge, in which you /kneel before her and take the "Defend Droknars" quest, on completion of that quest you then unlock 3 other quests in Ascalon,Lions Arch, and Denravi.
These quests are only available to those who have finished the game.

I /kneel to no one - and still got the quest. And rightfully so, since I killed Glint earlier, why should I kneel before her

How hard is the final one? Any cutscenes? The patch notes mentioned something about new cutscenes didn't it? Don't start that classist holy trinity crap with the new quest. I have done all five of the Titan Quests. The last one "Titans Source" is worth 50k XP and really difficult if you cant get past Defend Kryta you're in for a suprise. My group had 2 rangers , and no warriors but made it though. Its all about skills so don't post your cookie - cutter worthless holy trinity builds so that everyone can exclude rangers, like you guys try to do in the FoW and rest of the game. That classist propaganda really needs to stop.
You say are stuck on Defend Kryta, but you have all the advice on who to exclude from the mission. Give it a rest!

Yes, true. I did all 5 titan quests. So much fun. the last one, called titan source, I started in Yak's Bend so I had 6 people instead of the 4 from grendwich courthouse. Even then, it was insanely difficult. 50k exp was good, but i was in it for the challenge more than anything else.

Aww. Wonder why they didnt make the reward a special item, one for each completer of the series quests, customized to you so it cannot be bought or sold. Something.. neat. I dont know. Just something.. worthwhile.
Sigh. I'll do them anyway of course. ^^

Update.
Have not done the Kryta quest yet. Greywind always gets killed. Bah! But for those of you who want to make it quick, here is the tip.
Form a group at the Temple of Ages, then go to Bergen, and start the mission from there, backward, going through Nebo. All you have to do is kill a few birds (piece of cake at level 20, right?), a few undead, then you arrive at the village where there is this strange farmer who always wants me to help him. "Hey, there are like 40 Titans coming this way, you better grab your shovel and join us in the fight!" Anyway, you cross the village, keep on moving then you arrive at Greywind the suicidal guard. Climb on the little hill there, to have a better view and let the battle begin.
The first wave is "easily" feasible. Then you run back to the village's gate, and you start the real battle.
I do not have any particular tip to give at this point. We were doing very well as a group, but for some reason, Greywind died. I did not even know he was in the battle, too many foes out there, plus all the wells on the ground and the wards, could not see much.
Fun, nevertheless. Perhaps tomorrow?

For a limit of 4 people, Last Day Dawns was incredibly easy. We got through it with only 3 people and a healer hench (backup healer).
Warrior/Monk - lvl 20
Elementalist/Ranger (myself) - lvl 20
Ranger/Elementalist - lvl 20
Healer Henchman - lvl 6
My skill list was as follows:
Winter
Res Sig
Meteor shower
Meteor
Fireball
Phoenix
Flare
Fire Storm
With 15 fire and Winter, I was able to top out around 270-300 damage per hit with meteors, 170-200 with fireball.
Our general strategy was to have the tank focus their attacks on him and then have myself and the ranger nuke as best we could. We managed to keep the King and his priest alive the entire time using interrupts on anything that got close to killing the king to give his priest a 1-2 second timeframe to heal him with the tank using heal other when necessary.
I haven't found a group yet for Denravi and Kryta, anyone want to help me out with it? IGN is Jander Blackstar.

I got the Last Days Dawn quest done, with four players. A minion nec, boon/pront monk (me), A ranger who didn't use winter, and a W/N who didn't use a shield. Two of the king's guards died, but not his priest. Nobody else died, except the nec's poor minions, hurray for cannonfodde). It took two tries with that group, but its not a long quest, so its all good.
One and Two
Let's take a vote on which people think was hardest...
MSecorsky
Well, took a couple shots at the Denravi one last night, failed each time. They just kept coming. Got to the boss titan once, but we didn't make it.
Learned a valuable lesson.
If you're a ranger, you'll spend most of the time blinded. Even brought Mend Ailment or whatever the heck it's called. 5 sec recharge. Before it's recharged, blind again. Most annoying.
Yet incredibly fun.
