One of the best sides of this game is (imo) the trading system implemented for runes and materials. After the introduction of the Rune Trader, the trade channel has been almost freed from rune sellers and buyers, their real value is now clear to everyone and, more important, it is easier to buy and sell them!

The Problem
For reasons unknown to me lately selling stuff has become really hard! In the time I passed to find someone who wanted to buy my stuffs I could do many other more funny things!
Especially upgrades for weapons are almost unsellable unless they are maxed. I can't even sell them to the merchant, because he would give me only 25g!!!

The Idea
There came the idea: what about putting in an upgrade trader? The rune trader simplified a lot commerce inside GW, and I think that would do it too. The interface may be similar to the one of Priest of Balthazar: upgrades divided by cathegory, and then divided by type. For example if I want to find a vampiric axe haft I would select AXE and then VAMPIRIC HAFT; the available upgrades with their price would appear in a windows nearby (in this case vampiric 1/1, 2/1 and 3/1).
Horrendous fluctuation in prices have to be expected at the beginning, like it had been for runes, but after some time the prices will become proportional to the need of upgrade of the community.

I'm sorry if this idea was already proposed... I searched the forum and didn't found anything.

Sounds like a good idea, I like it.

Would be very useful IMO, if there's something in the game that's not on-of-a-kind or close to it, there should be a trader that deals in it, helps people understand the value of the thing that they want to buy/sell and gives farmers a quick way to sell the item without standing around spamming "WTS" for 25 minutes and without losing too much money by selling to a conventional merchant.

good idea that I brought up before. I think since if you unlock stuff, you don't get it on PvE character. That means if you buy it at the upgrade trader you save a lot of time.

i like the diea of a upgrade trader.

i often get less than perfect itmes, i tend to get hammers and swords (useless for a necro monk lol)
so i salvage them for upgrade parts.
most of them are in the lowest end, but i have trouble with selling them to merchant..i dont want to >.< (its the squirrel in me, storeing shtick for a cold winter heheh)
