3th day SF: Not seen any green yet
Pandora's box
Well... I know henchies consume 7/8 of the droppings and I know green items are not supposed to drop too often but after 3 days and spending over 9 hours in SF I would expect at least 4 or 5 greenies... The level is huge, it takes lots of time to clean it and most players also have a life outside GW (I may hope
). Considering that porbably 90% of the green items wont even meet the usage requirements of the finder (so the only thing to do with them is to trade) it seems to me that the rewards in SF are poor. I know most of the mobs now, there's little left to explore, a decent reward should be encouraging to continue playing...

Take a group of 5 -6 pug players, My first run I got a mesmer staff and two others got green bows.

I have seen them drop several times, but only to other people. I, on the other hand, am always showered with Stone Summit Badges. WTS 30 Stone Summit Badges
I think it's good they are not that common, because that way they are worth anything. On the other hand, it's frustrating to think that those henchie bastards steal them. I would suggest incomplete pugs as well. *Goes back to looking for a green bow*

Why incomplete pugs? I could do it with 5 or 6 henchmen too. It should not make any difference in droprate.

Yes it would. All loot is shared between all party members, less members in the party, the more loot per member, that works for gold and all items. The only exceptions are when you use keys or with quest items.

less players = greater chance of getting item... plus you actually get to see all the drops so you dont go mad :P

Thats what I meant: there should be no difference between 5 pugs of 5 henchmen... Unless of course you mean it can be done with 1 or 2 pugs, because I cant do it with only 1 or 2 hechmen lol!

I solo'ed the first 2 bosses about 6 times, and got not a single green. I got some gold, some white items, and 2 of these stones (which are for the collector I think).
Then I tried with henchies (maybe the bosses have some kind of "solo-protection" in the drops :P) - same not a single green.

I dunno, I had terrible luck for the longest while trying to farm bosses with the henchies, finally went in and did some stuff in SF and got a green in there, and then 2 more sweeping Grenth's out on the way home. Got a mess of purples and golds, too. It's just like gambling, with rotten luck the house is going to win most all the time, but even with bad luck you can still win a hand or two.

I somehow managed to get a green hammer on the first day and my first run. I've gotten a few bows since then, but nothing I can use. Also, one of my guildies snaged an unidentified superior vigor from the first chest we found outside Rankor on the walk over there. I guess it was just a fluke, since all I've ever won from the chests has been purple armors and flame artifacts.

I take my Warrior with 4 other henchies an get more greens than I know what to do with, you are just havin bad luck I'd say.
btw Henchies > PuG's anyday

Soloing bosses is not that hard, its getting to the bosses that is hard. I have killed flint solo about 3 times, with little trouble once it was me vs him, but getting to him was really hard (damn you, stone summit heretics!). I will not post my build because I think that you should find your own way to kill them. Also, making the build was the most fun part.
So far no greens, just a bunch of crappy purple wands and the like from all my solo adventures.
Here is an image of me just killing flint - his corpse disappears after he dies (him being made out of ice and all makes it hard to stay around for long post-mortum), and I fired off the screenshot just a second too late. If you look in the bottom left, you can see where is says "flint fleshcleaver drops an earth wand."

To the OP: You've spent *only* 9 hours? I don't really want to count how many I have spent...
Anyhow, it's just the luck of the draw. The henchies are probably running around now with Razorstones, Yakslappers, and whatnot. I for one have gotten a decent share of greens as well as a superior vigor. I can't really complain.
Also, WTS 100 Stone Summit Badges...

I think 4 hench is the min number to do farming (+ yourself)
That way better chance of getting green drops
