How do i turn of my firewall

I think that my fire wall may have to do with some of the problems im getting so can someone tell me how do i turn it off?

You should not turn of your firewall.

Unless it's the windows XP one, in which case go download a free firewall.

Sygate personal firewall is free, although it's not great, it works.

Once you have a good firewall installed, there will be settings to allow certain applications (i.e. guildwars, to access the internet)

turning of a firewall is a bad idea.
