Customised armours

I was playing 2day and a interesting question poped up in my head, say if u had a char, who crafted some kind of armour, and then u delete the char (put crafted armour into storage 1st ^^), straight after, u make a new char with the same name as the deleted char, would he/she be able to use the set of armour? or would the armour be deleted along with the char.

The game knows the difference between the two characters, even if they have the exact same name.

It doesn't work, so don't bother trying it
The armor is given a hidden code which matches the code of the character which had it crafted or got from a collector. This "code" changes for every character you make, even if they have the exact same name & professions.. they are treated as 2 different characters by the game for comparing "codes" for customized items.

It used to work in beta but then they fixed it. Some People were making PvP characters and puting the armor in storage and moving it accross to a pve character. No longer works.

you can't actually use the stuff transfer for pvp character to pve... but can you sell it for gold?
Leddy
No, of course.

the database doesn't save your character based on a name. You get an identification number for every character you create which controls that characters inventory, storage, gold, etc etc. You are identified by a number...not your name
