this is the quest u get after u finished the game and did defend droknar from vision of glint, well soi went to frontier gate to do the quest and well after killing 3 groups the king albersomething(wich should stay alive, quest says that) died and we did to shortly after that so we think we failled but we went back to kill the last group and quest got updated saying talk to the king but he was dead so we rezone and go back to the place were the king was and u guessed he was there with a marker above his head but he went attacking the groups again, well after a while he stood still and i talked to him and bam quest finished
im sure this isnt the way we should have done it but it surely was nice

Yes, the quest is bigged, Adelbern is not supposed to die... so I'd report this to Anet.

I think it's most likely that the quest is supposed to fail and dump you back into the outpost if you let Adelburn die- kinda like it does if you let Evennia die in Defend Denravi.

Well, has anyone actually done it without getting the King killed? ^^

Gosh, its so hard to find parties for these post game quests, not to mention henchies are absolutely worthless when they're level 6 and 10 ^^

The party cap doesn't help either =/

The party cap doesn't help either =/ The quest was quite easy to beat for my team of 4. But we had 2 monks... and a good tank, and me as a nuker. I can't say the same party would work for all the rangers, mesmers, and necros out there...

With winter, you tear up the enemies in seconds with your nukes ^^

yes, the quest is bugged. first time we did it, king adelbern died with our monk AFK and we expected quest to end, but it didn't, so we just cleared the area, zoned, came back and talked to the King and finished quest.

also, the difficulty of this quest has probably been set with the party cap in mind. i did this with a monk, 2 warriors and an ele. any DP you might have accrued can be gotten rid off at the statue of Lyssa nearby.
