When do I get to droknars?

Hi,
I was just wondering (after spending ages trying to run to it) when i get to droknars
I've currently done 1 of the coop missions before ascension, how much futher in the story till I get there for free instead of paying some warrior 2k to run there?

You arrive at Droknar's Forge after you ascend and talk to Glint.

Also, why would you want to run your first time through the game?
