Hi all,
I searched and came up with no answer so I must ask (Being new here)

What does "Pre-Searing" "Searing" "Post Searing" actually mean?

What are they in releation to gameplay? Thanks in advance.

presearing is the rich green askalon tutorial you are in before the academy
post searing is the desolate wasteland it has become after the charr attack that *seared* the area
further on nice scenery comes back so the rest of the game is not bleak

The Searing is the turning point in Ascalon's history when the Charr invaded and destoryed everything - forcing what little forces they had to rally behind the Great Northern Wall.

"Pre" means before
"Post" means after

Pre-Searing = the Shire of Lord of the Rings

Post Searing = a Mt. Doom/Mad Max post apocolyptic world.

When you join the academy the Charr will attack and destroy Ascalon.

I havn't joined no academy yet so I guess I'm still in PRE

Will there be like a cut scene (Movie) of the Searing happening letting me know I cant go back to the way it was?

Yup, after passing the academy there will be a cinematic showing Ascalon under the Charr's magical attack. There will be no returning to the wonderful land that Ascalon once was.
