The Guild Wars community could use some weekly over-view columns on the Tombs metagame. And guild interviews similar to what you see on the official guild wars homepage. And a weekly "build-challenge" column where readers suggest a particular aspect or skillset to build a team around and reports on how well it works. And in-depth build articles which feature the current popular builds, their strengths, weaknesses, ways to play it, ways to counter it. And reports from high-level gvg matches (may have to wait till observer, or if multiple members record movies).
And primary-specific articles which analyze different lines and point out combos which are seldom seen. And a "fix my build" column which makes a reader's build better, based on the reader's stated goal for the build, not the columnist's.
And besides Tombs 8v8, also offer some content for 4v4 players.
And a "limited" build format would be interesting also, where you build the team using only skills that can be acquired from quests. That would make the average PvE'er who dabbles in PvP happy.
The community must have some talented writer/analysts out there. A well-written authoritative voice alternative to the flamewars on all the forums would be nice.
Make it happen.

You could also put in a PM to THX, Aria, Inde or kzap and see if you could get things like that put on the GWG page. THX put out an advertisement over two weeks ago for site contributors. These ideas seem right up that alley.
Because...dare I say it? If you're trying to get another site started, the guidelines specifically say that you should not use these forums for a springboard to other sites and/or forums.
If you're looking to make another alternative site, you may want to take this to PMs with respondees.

They can do it here at GWG. I don't care who does it or where it's hosted, I just think the community is in dire need of these things. So I'm just hoping to get peoples' attention. I personally don't want to be involved, since I don't have any skills as a writer nor as an analyst. But the community needs something like what I've described.

Where do you think I got the model from?
Seriously, look at the MtG sites, especially the official one, for the kind of analysis and coverage that would be of use. Much of the same abstract considerations are applicable to the Tombs Competition and GvG as well.
