help im new

been lookin through web pages on how to get certain "elite" skills an the word capture pops up
im a complete noob to this game an was wonderin how i go about capturing skills? like poison arrow etc

also another question can anyone tell me how i get poisonous arrow also any help wil be greatly appreciated

you need to get a signet of capture from 1 of the skill traders quests, cant remember which one. sorry.

You capture elite skills using a capture signet on a dead boss. Capture signets are purchased from a skill trainer for 1k and 1 skill point.

Poision arrow can be captured in 3 different areas and used by these Grawl bosses:

Witman's Folly - Salani Pippip
Spearhead Peak - Kekona Pippip
Talus Chute - Kekona Pippip

where is this skill trader to get the signet? an u no where i get poisonous arrow from?

When you get to Lion's Arch, you'll get a quest that rewards Capture Signet. By finishing that quest, you can buy Capture Signets from skill trainers (I think all trainers from and after that town) and use it to capture skills. To capture skills, kill a boss creature, then use the Capture Signet (make sure you bring it). You'll then be able to choose from a list of skills that the boss carries and you don't already have. You can choose only one skill per signet. The boss creatures have auras that represent their types. Their colors corresponds to the background colors of your skills. Say if the boss is a monk, it's blue, and corresponds to the blue background colors of monk skills. So if you kill a boss that does not carry skills from your professions, you get to choose nothing, but you won't waste the signet.

long walk? You can teleport to any town using the map. Unless you don't have Lion's Arch yet. Then just follow the missions and you'll get there.

And I don't know about ranger skills... haven't played one.

Well, considering you're new, I wouldn't worry about it for quite a while. Bosses don't have elite skills to capture until the last 1/3 of the game.

I am a ranger as well. So here goes. You need the capture signet quest from Magi Malaquire(I believe) in lions arch. After completion,you can purchase the capture signet from all of the skill trainers. Then just kill the ranger boss with the skill you need, and use it in the place he fell to reap your reward. In this case, the easiest place to get poison arrow is from a boss called Salanni Pippip in Witmans Folly. Just take the south door out of the Forge when you get there, and he shou be one of the four or five bosses out there.

The apply poison skill can be found in the Ascalon Settlement, north of Lion's Arch. Not an actual town, so you have to hoof it, no warp.
