Found Sup. Vigor - Now What?

OK - After MANY MANY hours of gp my 20W found his first Sup Vigor in Grenth's. I have a Maj Vigor on all of my chars and combined they only have 5 plat. between them. The rune trader is selling for 38p and buying for 30p. As you can see from my gold I'm not into farming, just kill, grab loot, sell to merchant, repeat and have fun doing it. I can't stand around for an hour trying to sell, so....

Here's the question - Do I sell it to merch for the 30p now (I could really use it), do I wait, or do I go to LAd1 and try to get more?

I also have 5 ecto's, I had 9 but sold 4 to help pay for Droknars armor for chars. Sold those to merch also - about 9p each at the time.

Thanks for the assistance...

ummm. that is farming.

and I'd sell it to the merchant. 8 plat difference isn't worth the time you'd spend in LA trying to sell it.

if it's unidentified I'll give you 50 plat for it.

Well, I meant, play the game, missions quests etc... kill, grab, sell.

It's already ID'd sorry.

Thanks for reply

Ok I keep seeing this and I have to ask, what does it matter if its Id'd or not?

if it's not identified, the person who buys it can then unlock it for PvP, that s why it's more valuable

Does anyone know if the merchant prices fluctuate up or down during the peak hours for an item like this? Not sure if it's worth waiting a few hours for peak time? He's offering 29p now

But to know what it is it has to be Id'd so do they actually mean unsalvaged?

No, they mean specifically unidentified. Some people sell unID'ed purple and gold armors for identification, or they expert salvage the armor and get unidentified runes out of them. Runes have specific symbols for each profession, as well as a separate symbol for vigor runes, so a salvaged unID'ed rune can be sold by type.

The price does fluctuate based on supply and demand.

I feel you should not sell any superior vigor, absorbsion, or other "rare" runes (unless you farm runes), because if you feel that you will want that rune, you will NEVER get it cheaper than free. If the extra HP does not matter to you? sell it. If you want money, I would not sacrifice your gear to make it. You will cringe when you go to buy one from the trader for 8 more plat.

If you want to sell it:
The price on Vigor and absorbsion runes have dropped consistantly over time. I used to sell unIDed Sup Vigors for 100K and, you have just been offered 50K (and that is a great deal for you, I could not sell one for 45K a month ago) for example. With the drop in prices I would say sell now and fast, but durring peak hours to drive the price back up for the day.

You can expert salvage the item, and it will show a picture of the rune that you have (non id'd) Then you can ID it afterward if you wanted to. This is what I did as I didn't have it unlocked for PVP yet. If I get another I will NOT id it, but sell it un-id'd.

use an expert salvage kit on the armor without Identifying it. You can tell what type of rune it is based on the image.

The extra 10 HP are nice, but for right now the money is needed a bit more. I've come this far without missing the Sup Vigor

I think I will wait till later and hope the prices go up. When I sell it, does that increase or decrease his price? I give him an extra to sell, but he had to pay me money to get it?!?!?!

he sells for higher than he buys. selling it to him would decrease the price...but so marginally insignificant that you won't notice.

by the way good choice on selling it...HP is the last thing to worry about in a game like this. the only hit that matters is the one that takes you from 1 to 0..the rest of your health is a buffer.

I'd sell it too, 9HP is not worth the price difference between a major and superior, I don't care what anyone says. its not going to make a difference whether you live or die in battle.
