every good build has a necro in it. no questions about it. no build without a necro will go anywhere. necros are vital in pvp. im not going to even download youre video because thats one of the silliest things ive ever heard. every character has their usefulness. if theres one character to complain about its ineffectiveness in pvp, i would have to say it would be ele, but thats just me.

Very nice I must say, only 2 monks and i didnt see to much dying. I compliment your monks...

Although i wonder where you got the idea for the build, u come up with it on your own or see it alrdy being used?

Yeah, I edited out the fights where our healing monk yelled "CHARGE!" and ran off by himself to aggro other teams. [Seriously, I can post the video if you want to see.]

As for who came up with it... does it matter? But, since you ask...

The first time I ever came across it was back in Beta when Adam of Fi brought it to our guild's attention. Tried it a few times and it worked, until we got owned by NR spam. Was fun, and moved on. This weekend I jumped on Fi Vent and a grabbed a spot in a group that was already running it. We made some adjustments, and then grabbed the HoH a few times (don't know if you saw "All Hail Izzy" winning HoH early Sunday morning). I said, "Hey, it'd be fun to record it and post it on the forums." So a group of us met up the next night, grabbed a friend or two to fill in, and -viola- that's what you see.

Not sure who the very first person was to ever think of the build, or who all re-invented it or who stole it or who copied it or what. And frankly, I don't care because I've had fun running it every time I did.

May I suggest putting that to the Benny Hill Theme, "Yakey Sax" by Boots Randolf.

lol, we dont use a necro at all, not even a second class necro and we get to halls easily.. and yes we win it too incase you are going to say, "you get there but you dont win it"

But necros do suck. I mean, especially on the other team, just, GOD! KILL THE NECRO BEFORE IT KILLS US!

A few weeks before PvP XTREEM, KCHS tried running it with two N/R spamming lv1 Spirits, three N/Mo on healing duties and three N/Me (all eight players carrying FoC and Desecrate Enchantments). It worked in that not one player had Energy issues (the lv1 Spirits fuelling Soul Reaping) and Feast of Corruption proving capable of annhilating altars, but on non-altar matches the good teams caught on pretty fast and started to space out, rending the AoE spiking practically useless. Tried it again on the day of PvPX to greater success, given how laying a Spirit forces all Spirits of the same type to die. This allowed us to run high-level Nature Rituals like QZ to speed up FoC recharge and ker-bone the enemy, and still keep them dying every five or so seconds. Likewise, king on altar maps, pretty much useless everywhere else.

If you want to try this again, give some spirit spamming a shot. Apologies, also, for copy+pasting my Guild-Hall reply. I feel... asleep...

Wow...

The build that Lulu uses is very similar to the one I used in arena for the past few weeks.

It can be countered though, simply by spreading out. One thing I noticed with this build is necro has shit eng and Arcane Echo + FoC + Foc = 35 eng. If the target doesn't die, or even if it did, you can't do much else afterwards. Plus the recharge really puts the necros into an open position where they can't do much.

Very powerful on it's first strike, then nearly as strong as a naked baby afterwards.

If only Offering of blood could be added so it would make up for the low eng.

a TON of things changed in guild wars the last 4 months but one thing always kept constand:

There were always 2-3 monks ans 1-2 Warriors in every group.

And thats just necromancer food!!!

Actually, in the two days that I ran this build with Paul and the rest, we routinely rolled teams that we've defeated before with this build multiple times. I think we killed one person's team four times, not to mention a few others.. so.. not quite as vulnerable as you're putting it. Spreading out is a good counter so that multiple members won't die, but regardless of scattering or not, it still worked surprisingly well. Simply look at the video and see how often single kills came.

In all, though, this build was more for fun than anything too serious.

P.S.. I love our suicidal healing monk!

But ya its an ok build in the hands of amateurs but a great one in a confident team that works well together. Lol ya itd be funny to see a monk yell charge and agro some ppl, lol.

hmm, yeah, about that necro thing? I run a N/Mo and i can tank next to a warrior, and deal the dmg of an ele at the same time of course, i havent told anyone what i do, but i really like it, works well in both pvp and pve. So dont go around saying any class is useless anywhere, cause it will always be wrong.

PS-and no, i dont use smiting prayers
