So I'm getting run to Droknar's Forge, and I notice the runner is doing a very good job. I took note at what he was doing, and noticed no skills, so assumed it was stances. I listened to some of the sounds, and, lo and behold, I got this. It's probably not the exact same, but it works for me, too, running most places.

-> Bonetti's Defense
-> Smite Hex
To gain adrenaline for Bonetti's, I figured Wary Stance was probably it. But for sure: Stances play the key here.

Post any tweaks/thoughts/modifications. It might not be all 100% correct.
I want to say beforehand that the person who provided the run gave cause for me to post this, even though he called it a "secret build." I'm all for proprietary, but under certain circumstances, I believe in Freedom of Information. I do NOT want a flame war to ensue.

Something tells me this guy is NOT the runner... But if it is him.. Why do you get so mad? ot like it's that hard to figure out. I use almost an exact build myself.
Edit: Wonder if that build can get past Heretics, I have a hard time with them, since Crippling anguish makes me way too slow and if i try to remove it it's always a late rust or phantasm that gets removed. hmm.. Might try this anyways.

Yeah. Since he decided to post, I'll tell you what happened. He was running my level 7 Ranger to Droks from Beacons (not for Arena, mind you, but for PvE). At any rate, I notice he is taking little damage and not healing. So I watch what he's doing. After a few minutes I gather the main idea of the build and ask him if I can post it, at which point he just goes berserk. Cursing, yelling, telling me he is going to leave. So I told him that if he leaves, I'll report him for scamming. Then he tells me how he is a God on GWG, and Nef hooks him up. We get to Rankor, and he gives me my money back, but not after filling me up with a bunch of malicious comments, etc. So I decided to post the build myself. Since it was all stances, I inferred the build.
I don't need to defend myself though, at least I don't think so.

use smite hex right after he uses criplingt anguish its got a slow recast and he usaly uses conjure phantasm first so u should be good to go unless u got like 2 or more heretics on u then theyll just spam it back and forth and smite hex dosent have the recharge time we all wish it did

I can get it done most of the times, however sometimes theres the ocassional Frozen Burst thats screws me up. Would you mind pming your IGN i'd like to see that build being used, or just ask a few questions if you dont mind of course.

Just funny, what if i *just* thought of it, and posted it, and you said *sware* *sware* etc etc, i would really just laugh that you cannot even have any informed conversation, no doubt you are a GREAT GW PLAYER, and ofcourse good idea with stances, but ... you get the picture

I chanced upon an opportunity to race the great master skorm. first he wanted to bet 200k plus 20 ecto or something like that, then decided to race for fun.
It was a tight lornar's pass, my storm chaser edged it out at the end. In dreadnought his legendary crippling anguish counter didnt seem to work too well, we both ended up dead to a nasty spawn of heretic. On the (nicer) respawn I blew by to a 2-0 lead.
Game over, so he refers me to this thread. You didn't want my suggestions skorm but i'll go ahead anyway and recommend remove hex over deflect arrows (like you really need it?, most tundra giant dmg comes from their stomp anyway). It's quite nice for the rare case you remove the wrong hex or whatever, you'll always come out on top.

i believe he was just exaggerating to get a point across. when you have 20 stone summit chasing you and a pack of tundra giants up ahead, standing still for 2 sec to cast a spell means death.

2 seconds (works well unless knockdown patrols are about) rather than waiting for smite hex to recharge which would take at least 5 or more seconds? I wouldn't bother with it either way, it's just that compared with deflect arrows, I know which one I'd rather have. Nothing beats a hex breaker, though that's where the benefits of a mesmer secondary stop.

Yeah, I think there's just crap through this whole thread. The OP should have had the common sense and courtesy to not post something someone else thought of, especially when specifically told not to. You really want to post it? Better to ask forgiveness than permission. If you'd never asked, you'd have never known whether he cared or not. But since you DID ask, bite your tongue and give him the fair chance to present it himself or wait a day or two since someone else posts it. Not like this guy is the first.
