That's just what it is. I'd want to go through the storyline adding voices and all kinds of things that happen in-game and just some situational humor. I guess one might compare it to the Red vs Blue series. I'm pretty good at writing, but I work really well in colaboration. For easy accessablility, I'll can open up my guild to all that are in it. Anybody wanna try it?

Okay, I have a program called Game Cam. That I got for free right off its site. We could use that. I think it'd be good for all of us to record so we can get different angles and such.

Well, first, before ANYTHING else, you must create a plotline. RvB has a GREAT plotline, filled with comedy the whole way. I will be willing to help if you need it, (I cant film tho, my comp is shyt) just send a PM or IM my way.
OK, every step of the way i will be comparing this to RvB, because thats the only thing out there like it. IN the beginning, RvB started out as a parody to halo, the war of the reds and the blues, and Griff neede to be a red to even out the sides. Griff, along with Sarge and Simmons are out in the middle of nowhere in a canyon, and the only reason they are there is to keep the Blues from taking over the pointless canyon. From that it evolved into a work of comic genius we now know and love.
So to take a page from their book, start out as just a parody, making fun of the guild wars storyline(like how we all left ascalon to die to all the charr we could so easily kill after ascention) and let it evolve from there.
Then you will need well developed characters, some sort of conflict, and lots of comedy throughout. Again, RvB gives us a shining example. on the Reds, you have Griff the lazy bum who was drafted to even the numbers. Sarge is the hardass always riding Griff's back, sending him on suicide missions and soforth. Simmons is the kissass who no one likes but Sarge. Doughnut is the metrosexual (homosexual maybe?) who is kinda slow, with lots of girlike qualities. For the Blues, you have Church, the independent leader who has a fairly short temper. Tucker, the horny bastard who can only think about girls. Caboose, the COOLEST CHARACTER EVER (imho) the dumbass who wants to be friends with everyone, but cant even manage to be friends with his teammates. They write the BEST lines for Caboose. "That was you?!? I thought the tooth fairy was mad at me..." "Time LINE? Time is not made of lines, it is made of circles, that is why clocks are round." and "Kittens... kittens covered in spikes... that makes me angry!" and many more.
Then you have Tex, the tough mercinary chic who could kick all of the guys asses. then Doc, the pacifist who enrolled in the army as a conciencious objector. then O'malley, the overly evil parasitic program that likes to say oblivion and contradict himself while hes talking. "Prepare for oblivion for which there is no preparation!!"
Also, you should make full use of the emotes, they will come in handy.

Okay, let's get this started then, who's got characters in the presearing? Who can film? And who has something like ventrillo and a server we can use? Also, we might want a site later on. This will take time and gold (I'm sure we'll need to get a few things here and there, probably just for your own character) We also need to make meeting times when we get ready to shoot.

Great, Game Cam is free and it's decent. (It slows down my comp a bit, crappy lag) We should be starting on the script soon. I'm talking to Twilight and I've already got some ideas. Anyway, just from you guys, what do you think the main character should be? I'm thinking something like an Elementalist, but I'm totally open for suggestions.
EDIT: Oh, and feel free to film the opening sequence. I think we'll redubb (is that the correct spelling?) all of the cutscenes when we run into them. That ought to be fun.

i have video out grafics card and a DV camara , so ill play in tv screen to use a single video out , and record to the DV cam , like this the computer will be free just for the game , after i will inport the fotage from dv cam to computer and work on that.

run ventrilo in the backround while guildwars is in full mode, i suggest ventrilo because...
1. Does not have most of the TS problems
2. Overall better quality

yeah i think the best is real time from ts or vent
but also , if you record in any program , i can put in the voices where ever i want , its easy with a ediiting software.

Animo is right, if you record the voices seperately, you can just add them in with Windows Movie Maker or Pinnacle studios.

I think we'll use vent just for accessability and that it's something we can all use so kg we'll be using your server. We'll probably need anybody we can get for use of extras among other things. I'll get into more specifics when I have a bit more time and when I have a bit more script. Go ahead and shoot suggestions my way.

I'd say you'd want one person for camera only (1st person veiw) with UI disabled. The result of that is that PvE combat scenes might be weird and tricky, but tbh I'm not sure if you'd really need that. Just have it dialogue / PvP based.

As for voicing, it might not work recording sound at the same time as video, because there'll be a good deal of editting work to do afterwards. However, you'd need to ensure whilst recording video that you got the timing right (ie, spent enough time showing the character so that the voice doesn't overrun).
Final idea, you could have the intro "The last day dawns on the kingdom of Ascalon ..." video but with a different voice-over / captions and use that as a trailer.

Requiem, i like the way you think. First order of buisness; can anyone write up a plotline? Were going to NEED that before anything else can occour. Second, names of characters. I suggest that we dont use our actual characters names and instead come up with names like most of the bosses, npcs, and more have. Like a one word first name that is completely made up, and a last name made of 2 words made into one, the latter of the 2 usualy being a verb. to make an examle, heres one i just made up " Yago Firespitter" or "Gonca Soulrend"

Okay, I've decided that Twilight, Animo, Req and I are the heads of developement. (KG, as I said you're still in and a large part currently. I'll tell you more of your role later.) That does not mean that there's no room for more, that simply means that it's us calling the shots right now and developing the storyline. So let's start there.

Can I be a weekly or seasonal guest in some of the post-searing episodes? I don't need talk because my character is known for being quiet (except for missions) and "Lone Wolf" type. I can use the emotes to do my speaking lol.

I was toying with the idea to make my own Guild Wars movies awhile back. Really, I'd love to help out, being an actor of any sort or something else.
I have an Elementalist/Mesmer or Monk who has all but 2 Elementalist skills and most of the mesmer skills. For his monk part, has the peices he needs for a solo-smiter build. (I assume skills might come in handy for some aspects of the movie.) He's also Ascended, fully infused but is 2 missions from game completion.
I have a Warrior/Necromancer female who has a large compliment of skills, and looks great in her mismatched armor.
(She's also ascended and fully infused)
I have a Monk/Mesmer I just made recently that is somewhat dark tanned with blond hair and is early level (just got to Yak's)
Also I have a Ranger/Monk, that just made it to the desert, not level 20 yet. He's the tallest model I could make and black (because you can't lose with a black guy in your group ex: Mr. T in the A-Team.)
All of these characters have RPish names, so hopefully they could all be of use, but I have no problems with deleting one to make room.

lol I REALLY like the whole triggering the searing idea. Thats good stuff right there. Ele as the main has my vote. I got an e/me and have 2 open slots to make presear chars. I wouldnt mind being an ele.

Sweet, I love this idea! Okay, so the main character is an Elementalist, we'll stick with that for now. Yeah, I think he ought to be stuck with a dimwitted Warrior, but he could also meet some others in the presearing including a Monk who really hates his job, he may even teleport in the middle of a mission sometimes. Grunto isnt bad, and the whole monk hating his job is a nice touch. Personally for an ele I like the name Tyran. Id be like, "Grunto, S.T.F.U.!"

Also, I'd like to suggest something different for the Warrior. It's just my opinion that a dull-witted Warrior is how most will expect he will be portrayed. I suggest going with something a little different. Perhaps a well-spoken, heroic voiced Warrior, perhaps with the same dim-witted name, but who is simply terrible at fighting and very clumsy (thus still causing him to break the bowl, cause the searing and such.)
