Getting to the fow crafter
EAT U ALIVE
Does anyone know a really good team to make it to the fow armor crafter? Or some tips on getting there smoothly, and tips on what we should do for the quests? thanks

8 people who aren't idiots.
Sekkira
1 Warrior, 1 Ranger, 1 Necromancer, 1 Elementalist, 1 Mesmer, 1 Healing Monk, 1 Protection Monk, The last slot can be filled by anyone. Be picky. Take your time. If someone is impatient, kick them. If someone invites themselves without asking, ignore them.

i would say 2 healers and 1 prot
just makes it easier4 and you still have more than enough damage to beat it :0

Two healers if overkill. If you need both healers AND a protection monk, your monks either suck or your team have no idea on how to keep things under control.

Get in a decent guild that uses team speak. Communication is the key to staying alive in fissure.

I know that teamspeak isn't enough to keep a group alive, but it does help. The most important benefit from going with a guild team vs. pug is that you've had a chance to learn the playing styles of the others in the guild. I've had a couple of runs in fissure when teamspeak was down and I was with my guild, the communication was of course still good, but teamspeak makes it easier.
Also I think that common sense would tell you to feel out the people you invite in random groups to fissure before going in, that usually eliminates the noobs from the power players.

you can get to the forgemaster on pretty much any basic fissure team build provided that the members are not idiots and know what their jobs are.
key things to know are:
-when to/ not to aggro enemies
-when to wait for patrols
-not aggroing more than 1 mob at a time
-priorities of targets
the best team build that i have come across for fissure is:
2 warriors
2 monks
3 elems
1 necro
you can drop out one of the elems for a mesmer or a ranger, but it is important to know that one of the elems has to be a water elem. every nuker in toa advertises themselves as a fire nuker, but people haven't realized how effective a water elem with maelstrom and ward against harm is in fissure. one of the best teams i've been in had one water elem and one fire elem and things died so fast. maelstrom pretty much neutralizes monster casters since they're too stupid to walk out of it.
let the warriors aggro and tank the berserkers while the casters stay back. it helps out a lot.
you really only need 4 quests to get armor crafted. i forget the names, but you need the first quest, then the quest to see the forgemaster, then the quest to clear the forge temple area, then the seeds of corruption quest.

8 smart and cooperative team players wuld do the trick.
I went there with 2 warriros, 2 monks, 2 eles, 1 ranger, 1 necro
And guess what...1 monk was prot and the other was smiting...we just worked together so well as a team that we got to the forgemaster...Oh, and be sure you have good nukers it really helps if you've got two really nice nukers dishing out major damage.

One and Two
it sounds like everybody here thinks its impossible to get to the crafter. Just find a halfway decent pug, and own the minions...like cake. if you farmed enough to get the gold you need and you dont have the skill to lead a group.....um.....ok.
