[RANT] Game Demons.. dont bother to upgrade

As part of the Guildwars collectors edition I got 3 months free teamspeak server..

it regularly went down for a period.. but well, its free and our guild was small so whatever.

three months later and our guild is going very well.. I decide to give Game Demons another chance.. although we had service outage alot at least they responded to the ticket requests... even though the reasons they gave were dubious... "oh, we DID email you about a maintenance"... lol, yea whatever!

I upgraded the service from an upgrade offer to 50 slots!!!... great, we need this room to expand with 30 active members already we will be needing it..

Unfortunately this is where the happy tale ends and my rant begins!

OMFG!.. since upgrading our server is now going down regularly, and at times like the weekend!!.. or late evening..

sure they are responding to the support tickets telling me about unscheduled maintenances and crashes left right and centre... I mean,.. WTF, UN-SCHEDULED?.. what TF are they doing at the office?... oooh..hmmm, lets run some maintenance.. lets kicks thousands of people of teamspeak..who are probably playing Guildwars.. oh yes.. that will ensure we get high ratings!!..NOT.. the most recent of the 'maintenance's said it was for 1 hour!... and its STILL DOWN 15 HOURS LATER!!!

This was yesterday!... and guess what.. our server has gone down yet AGAIN, sparking my rant here.

This is having a devastating effect on the guild.. we have several groups of people playing guild wars in different channels doing all sorts.. and we are constantly getting disruption, people are now going to other teamspeak servers and its just generally breaking up the guild!!

It really isnt worth the money!.. DONT BOTHER TO UPGRADE.. my ISP is more reliable at the moment.. and they are Bulldog! :O

You are much better off getting a static IP address and getting a shitty old computer to run your own TS server, the only thing which will send that down is power outage or ISP problems, which is more infrequent than the shitty game demons!

Anyone else having the same problem.. or possibly suggest to the masses a much more reliable teamspeak service provider ?

I've had a CS server and Ventrilo server through them for almost a year with 0 complaints.

I just run my own TS server... its not that hard, and doesn't take up as much bandwidth as you might think.

Of course I'm not hosting for 50+ people either, so that would make a difference.
