Anyone know whats the deal with this quest?
All I know is that you have to go down to SF without an NPC and go in and talk to an NPC with the quest.
I have heard rumors that this is how you get a bigger belt pouch or somehing of the sort, but i want to know for sure. Ive tried several times but failed each time...
Can anyone tell me anything?

I want to know this too. I found 3 tasca's quest items (compass, map, axe) doing other quests, so I'll probably be very close to finishing the actual mission if I find it.

You need 6 or 7 items. To get it you have to go into the Furnace without taking any of the outside quests. Basically you need to be hunting/farming then you kill a nec boss down to the right of the crushers, the guy who gives the quest is there it is a dead end so you can't miss him.
There are a lot of quests that are available if you go in hostile, you just have to look. One of them actually wants you to kill all the bosses in there. So basically you get paid experience for hunting/farming. Since you are going to do it anyways, is always good to get the quest along the way.

No, there is no bigger bag. There are three quests to my knowledge, that can be done in the Furnace when you enter without a NPC:
Tasca's Reprise: Collect 5 quest items
Political Ramifications: Kill any 6 Stone Summit bosses
Subversive Ideas hand out scrolls to 5 Dredge Slaves

I think the Subversive Ideas quest may be bugged. When you talk to the guy is he supposed to give you items that you're supposed to hand out or something? When I talked to him for the first time and accepted the quest, my inventory was full. It let me accept the quest but it didn't give me any items or anything. I tried talking to one of the green Dredge slave guys but it wouldn't give me any update on the quest. I also tried talking to him again after I had made room but that didn't change anything.

Yes, that Molachev guy would normally give you 5 "Scrolls of Subversive Ideas" (look like Dredge Manifestos). Those have to be given to the Dredge Slaves. I know you can't take a quest reward that includes an item when your inventory is full, never tried the other way around, though.

Just to clarify something, "going in without an NPC" means without one of the 4 guys you can bring along such as Kilroy, not going with henchies ie you can do these quests with henchies.

correct.....and doing all 3 quests takes a LONG time.....well ok not a long time just i cleared the place out before i found tasca's last possesion

One really funny yet cool twist re: Political, is that Tharn Stonerift is extremely evil. If you haven't done his task, he's an enemy monk - but he's green. You can't target him. So any bad guys in the area can lay down more whoopin' on you than you were expecting. But the second you collect your 6k reward, he changes alignment. He's now healing you. =) Bugged or by intent, it's damn nifty.

Actualy monkey, I find he heals me as long as I am close enough to him. Wether or not I have beaten the quest or even taken the quest.
I ddi all 3 quests yesterday with 2 guildies and rest henchies. We killed all the bosses (well I think we did, we couldn't find anymore). Not one green dropped though...
