At this rate, this axe will not be sold on this forum.

I'd love to hear reasons for the low bids, but I'm willing to bet that the reasons will break down into two general arguments:

1) Razorstone, man...OMFG RAZORSTONE!!!!

2) Req too high.

Both of these arguments are idiotic, but if you have other reasons or would like to try to defend either of those positions, I'd love to hear what you have to say.

Hi Captain Krompdown,

1) People may not need it

2) People may not want it

3) People may not need it that desperately to pay big bucks for it

4) People may not want it that desperately to pay big bucks for it

5) People may want to save their money for a similar axe with dmg^50% mods

6) People who may be interested may not yet have seen this thread

7) People who may be interested may not have the amount of money you desire for it

8) Cookie?

I assume Lemmy is the only one here who actually believes that either of those reasons are valid. If not, here are the Cliff's Notes versions of the reasons why:

1) Razorstone = axe mastery mod. You think it was an accident that they put an axe mastery mod on the sephis look-alike? LOL. I would pay more for a 15>50 cleaver (req 9) with no mods than I would for a razorstone with an axe mastery mod that I can't get rid of.

2) Req too high? Isn't your character a WARRIOR? If you're trying to keep your mastery low so you can do dmg with smiting or whatever, then OOPS! You picked the wrong kind of character. Go back to pre, make a Mo/W, and pray that ANet doesn't nerf enchantments even more.

Please close this thread. The c/o I have in-game is now a multiple of the last c/o I listed. The forums have become totally useless.

I think Anet finally did itself in with the sorrows update. The entire community is MUCH less active since then, at least those who i know.

Yeah, I think it has a lot to do with Sorrow's, the excitement over the new items, and the misperception of what exactly those items are.

As I said, I have an offer in-game that is a multiple of the last c/o I listed. Most people I talk to in-game agree with me that the axe should sell in the 500-800k neighborhood, and my c/o is certainly in that neighborhood.

I was just impressed by the lack of activity on this forum. I understand the req is high, but with req 8, the dmg bonus, and those mods, it would be 1 mil-ish axe.

~~~~PLEASE CLOSE THREAD~~~~
Anyone who would like to make a serious offer on the axe should PM me in-game. IGNs: Captain Krompdown or Colonel Krompsworth. Otherwise, it will (happily) be sold after my bidder sells his items (also on this forum).
LOL...and I still wouldn't take your 300k offer. Actually, you offered 450k, which is still well short of my c/o. Not only that, but you tried to pressure me into taking your offer because you knew you would get outbid.
When I didn't accept your offer by your artificial, arbitrary pseudo-deadline, you chased me around like a lost puppy asking if the axe had been sold yet. Actually, last time I was on, you were practically humping my leg.
Not sure why you're calling me a dumbass. Only a dumbass would take a bid that is below his c/o...but if throwing around names like that makes you feel better about not getting the axe, feel free...
Holy crap man stop crying because nobody here thinks your axe is worth as much as you seem to! If you really want the thread closed PM one of the mods and ask them to close it but it seems far more likely that you want it open to keep complaining about how unfair everything is.
ok.. I see you all the time in lions trying to sell this axe... you told me you had a few 700-800k offers when I talked to you and this was a few weeks ago how long are you going to spend trying to sell this thing.... If it were me I wouldn't waste all my time trying to sell a stupid axe for just a couple hundred more k I would rather just log on ebay and buy gold using cash which took me alot less time than spamming in chat trying to sell some axe. Just for the count I dont buy ebay gold but I would do that over spamming for countless hours to try and get gold.
OMG...the finest minds in the Guild Wars world continue to flap their lips...
No offense to (reature or Ziggy, who were the only two to post reasonable responses. As for the rest of you, I'm not really sure what's up your collective butthole.
1) I am not complaining about how unfair anything is. I was commenting on the lack of activity on this forum. People make the bids they want to make. There's nothing fair or unfair about it. Anyone with a reasonable head on their shoulders would agree with me that the bidding pattern on this axe is different than it would have been before the update. I was commenting on that fact.
If I knew that discussion (as opposed to personal attacks) was too much to expect from a bulletin board, I wouldn't have bothered saying anything.
2) I haven't even HAD this axe for "a few weeks." I sold it pretty hard in Lion's Arch for exactly 3 days. I have much more gold than I know what to do with, none of which came from EBay. I spammed LA because it was the only way to get fair value for the axe. People are excited about greens and trying to lowball everything because of them. The only way to get fair value for the axe was to sift through all of the noobs and bargain hunters. It's part of the game...EBay isn't.
BTW, if I would use EBay for anything, it would be to SELL this axe, not buy gold. Not sure what I would do with more gold...but that isn't a reason to give the axe away for a crappy price. Not sure what the mystery is here.
3) Bids fall through, especially when there is so much gold involved. Sometimes things take longer than expected. Again, not sure what the mystery is.
Someday this thread will be closed.
