Hey guys,
I don't know if this is old news, but last night I was doing Hell's Precipice when I noticed something odd. I had just finished off the portal wraiths and the cut scene pushed me forward to undead prince R. I had missed a chest back by the portals, so I walked back to the other area only to find... Another undead prince Rurik! I killed him although it didn't trigger a cut scene, and walked back to find the price Rurik on a hill top still there (who I then also killed). It seemed to have no impact on the game, but was rather odd. Has anyone else noticed this? I can post a screen cap later tonight (although some of you may claim that I just pulled him back there).

I have ran into that also. Cut scene activated while someone in my party was capping a skill so we ran back for him and fought rurik.

You can kill Rurik AGAIN? Hell yeah baby... sign me up. The more times I can watch that guy die the better. His conduct in Ruins of Surmia is just that unforgivable.

LOL!

Yeah, I figured other people had noticed, I wasn't sure if this was new with the patch or an old oddity. Ah well, enjoy killing him repeatedly

guildy of mine found this a while back and spent a long time trying to kite the extra rurik back to the original so he could get them on the same screen for the screenshot opportunity wouldn't work.
But for the sake of silliness, it would be possible to finish the mission with 3 "hundred blades" skills on your skillbar

I still dont think that would work.. cause once you've learned a skill you cant cap it again.

Yep knew it already. My buddy Toaster hates Rurik with a passion so when I told him that we could kill him twice he was estatic =).

Down with the prince! I mean this whole thing is his fault! Going back tonight to "deliver" the rest of my arrows to him!

How about you bring an elite and a cap sig. When you cap 100 blades you would have 2 elites in your skill bar which would prove that 2 ruriks exist.

God, best bug Ever.

The two best parts of the game were when that Stone Summit dwarf killed Rurik, and when the player kills him again. Now, there's three best parts.

I don't see how this would prove anything... couldn't they just capture it from the one rurik?

Uh, Rurik was the best character in the game. He was actually able to make sense of what was going on instead of stubbornly standing in the way of something that was basically unstoppable like Adelbern did, plus he had a cool sword (well, it was cool when you were new to the game, anyway). What's with the hate?

Yeah, to me it seemed that Rurik got killed together with the guy who made the plot - it really went downhill from there.

A real prince stands or falls with his country, you don't just rush your people off to strange (and significantly more dangerous) lands in the hope that the Charr might be content taking just Ascalon.

"This is a fight we cannot win! The Charr have amassed an army of many thousands!"
The Ascalon Vanguard, into which every character completing the Academy is recruited, grossly outnumbers this 'massive army' of Charr, and most of them are level 20. Send a fraction of them to wipe up the level 8 Charr and quit bawling like a sissy.
