well i have been playing random arena since day 1, my pve warrior slaughters most other pvp only chars, though making a pvp only warrior is better; fissure armor is nice to show off xP. heres how you win

1, rely on yourself, only yourself and stick with your team
2, bring self heals
3, mending owns in RANDOM ARENA, do not come near tombs with it!
4, fragility spike owns
5, echo ---- that does 100 or so damage owns
6, people dont move out of meteor showers very often, make them pay for it!
7, bring anti-warrior spells that cause you to evaid/block or make him miss.
8, bring good damage

do about 4/8 of these and you will win. the other 4 people on your team you can think of as decoys, and you attack them while not being attacked yourself
-
yet about <20 chars, their armor is greatly decreased by fighting foes of higher level [as in for pvp], meaning they take more damage, have less life, deal less damage and usually if they bring that char into pvp, they probably arent very good in the first place.

Yes, random arena is unplayable. I stopped going there a few months ago when I could feel myself actually getting worse at Guild Wars by playing arena.

It's pretty obvious you're concerned with anything but the quality of your posts, unfortunately the consistent ignorance/incompetence/selfishness you display either doesn't leave any doubt you are ignorant/incompetent/selfish, or you're just trolling these forums day in day out, and I'm beginning to think it must be the latter - nobody can be so consistently wrong and uninformed and still take themselves seriously. I don't see how you can call it 'following [you] around on the forum' when you post all over the place, but I guess to someone who doesn't seem to actually read what others write, seeing their posts quoted by the same person a lot must be disconcerting.

Woohoo! Post fight! These internet word(nerd) fights get pretty intense sometimes, I recommend backing up people! Oh wait.... word fights aren't interesting... darn...

But I am glad that everyone has managed to stick to the topic of leavers in the random arenas (Including me)

If there's no monk & warrior in the group, you can expect quits now. In four attempts I didn't get to fight once with a full team.

Clearly it's faction farmers, but wth?
I haven't noticed an increase in the number of droppers, but I did notice something new after the update, althought I don't know if it's become more common or if it was isolated to only a few players:

People who enter random arena games but are AFK for the entire match, hoping to get some faction from the team's kills and from a possible win. I noticed at least two of these AFK faction farmers; "Ha Lire" was one of them, and something "the Matrix" was another. It could have been something as simple as a bot programmed to "enter mission" every time that character's team lost.

If that AFK idiot's team gets at least one kill, then that's 25 free faction. And at 3v4, I'm sure that most games don't last terribly long. On the other hand, if the team wins, then it's that much more faction for free, and by doing nothing.

It was very annoying being on the same team as one of these "players," and I felt bad for opposing teams that had them.

A partial solution to this problem and also to some droppers would be to make it so that players only get faction at the end of the battle. Other than that, I don't know what could be done about AFK players.
