the wipe question

i know at the release there will be a final wipe, where everything but your char name will be wiped, and also your guild. so will the ladder start over too? or will it stay? i was just wondering hope at least one of you knows

the ladder will stay but since all the guilds will be wiped it will be empty

if there are no guilds, there cannot be a guild ladder. anyhow, the ladder was reset with the last wipe so i would assume the same thing for the next..

ahh thanks guys, so i guess we shouldnt try to hard to get to #1 :/ just save all the trying for i hours after 12!! or in my case...3:00, lol. one more question, i asked this question befor but didnt get many answers (one) maybe ill have better luck this time, if you have a lvl 20 starting char (not premade) will it be reset to lvl 1 or just back to lvl 20 with the starting items and starting skills?? (i know no one prob. knows but what do u think

It was reported by Arena net that there would be a full wipe across the board a few days before release. Anyone who pre-ordered would be able to use the time between this last wipe and release to build up their characters. You would be able to keep anything you get during that period (levels, items, skills) It was designed to give pre-orders a small advantage.
I imagine that you could make a lvl 20 again, but you would have to start over.

the characters will be stomped flat back to the very start no matter how they were created by these little fellows

after the wipe, i am pretty sure that all your characters, level 20s, premades, whatever, will be dropped to level 1 and have only the starting gear.
upon retail, you will have the option to make level 20, pvp-only, characters or level 1 characters. level 20 role-playing characters will no longer exist. if you want your character name on a level 20 premade for pvp, you will need to delete your character, choose the approrpiate build, and rename it within 60 minutes.
