The Orozar Quest
Savio
There are several different ways to complete this quest, the hardest ones involve you lowering the bridge from Orozar's side. You can not lower it, and either just bring Ural to the entrance, or you can go and clear the path backwards and lower the bridge from the other side. Interestingly enough, when you lower the bridge, sometimes the mobs in front of and behind you get stuck. I don't know why, I have to test to find out, but it happens sometimes.

i agree, do not cross bridge
I beat this quest w/ only 1 try. It is bcoz i have a good build of team and good teamwork. We have 3 war, 2 monks, 1 ele, 1 minion master, and 1 ranger.
when fighting:
1. Kill the gnashers first so your necro wont have competition w/ summoning fiends and more bodies to use for summoning
2. kill the healers
3. and so on
Ranger: set traps to slow down the enemy mobs
Elementalist: of course nuke them
Monks: of course heal but mostly for the warriors who is in full melee
Necro: should be minion master and summon a big army. also use well of power to support the warriors in the fronline in full melee
warrior: Duh!!! all out melee, trust your monks and necro to support you( at least it worked on my team)
and the most important is protect Orozar and heal him as much as possible.
I suggest 1 warior and 1 monk should always be at his side.
This mission is actually quite easy if you get a good set of people and knows how to work together.

Dude i dont get it. Why would you guys wanna spend a lot of time and risk failure when you can have a foolproof method of finishing the quest? Yeesh its not like there s an uber drop at the end of the road (i finished the quest both ways).

Oh and for the first defend orozar part, have one tank (hopefully the ONLY tank) hold the gear and run around to take all the aggro. All the monks have to do is heal him. Well, I'm off to do Orozar run 73 now. grrr stupid fire staff *shakes fist*
Lamf77
I killed everything, took me dang new a hour, and they still came at me out of nowhere, I just can't get by part A with my W/M.

Has ANet patched this up, or is it still possible to not lower the bridge and easily beat the quest?
The PUGs that I help out with this quest all seem to insist on doing it the hard way and end up getting killed. Stupid.

Weee, I keep doing this quest over and over again. Rule for finishing Orozar easily:
DO NOT LOWER THE BRIDGE
That is all. If you see me spamming "LF non-tanks for Orozar" just poke by, and don't aggro anyone before me.

I did it tonite. It definitely did not get patched as of yet.
In my view it should not be patched.
The first time I ever succeeded at getting Orozar's brother wrapped up, guess what happened?
2 minutes later my party got the message "Ural has died" - which also killed the whole party in the same way it would if Orozar died. Somehow the guy carrying Ural made Ural die from enemy hits, and ruined our whole party instantly.
And then to make matters worse when I was making party tonight and explaining I wouldn't take in ignorant players who would get Ural killed, I had millions of newbies/ignoramuses telling me that Ural cannot die. Their idiocy was a huge annoyance considering that I've seen Ural die and thus kill my whole party with my own eyes.
Until I see in the patch notes "Ural cannot die", then I better not also be seeing any patch notes in regards to fixing the "bridge bug".
Especially since most players are ignorant about and too pigheaded to listen to the fact that Ural can die, and hence they will not take plans to take care of him seriously.

You better get a screenshot to back that up. Otherwise, brace for flames. People call you a noob because (for example) I've done Orozar 86 times and have never seen Ural die. He is an object, he can't die. Unless you mean somehow your group sucks soooo ridiculously bad that they somehow aggro enemies over to him and he gets killed before becoming an inanimate object with NO HP bar.
We've run into some HUGE noobs, but have never managed to get Ural killed. Ever.

Sigh... i really can't see why folks call everyone who wants to do the quest the intended way a noob. If anyone is a "noob", than it is those folks who have to exploit pathfinding for an easy way around the quest. You can't find a group that does this quest normally anymore.
All one sees are folks intending to do it the exploit way. Besides most groups simply lower the bridge and get that HUGE mobspawn to murder funny lil Orozar.

You failed to explain to anyone in the district when you were recruiting how Ural could die, provided he turns into an item with no hp, no way to target him, etc. Yes, I did make fun of you then, but the way you went about the whole thing was just too funny to resist. BTW, calling anyone who disagrees with you a moron or idiot isn't the best way to recruit people.
You've seen it with your own eyes? I do this quest every single night. I'd hope I've seen everything that could happen in that quest, but I might be wrong. Still, I'm waiting for evidence.

I'm not sure what you're talking about. There's a lot more that's bugged than the pathfinding. The real exploit is not lowering the bridge and heading back to the entrance. From what I've seen, if the group can do the first part with little to no deaths, they can do the second part the same way. Plan B is a bit bugged anyway - sometimes the boss mobs don't appear from the front and/or the back. bele
Thanks for the tips ppl
Completed the quest with henchmen, as Me/N. (in my first attempt as Necro) I read that tip here and decided to make a test, without much hope must say, as had made the quest around 5 times with henchmen and another 5 with PUG.s and couldn't finish the first part I took a far, very far from optimal build, with Chaos Storm (LOL) Life siphon ( ![]() A couple of ideas from this short experence : 1.- Keep casters tight. I focused always on the nearest first (knigths) so no spreading (warriors first, then Well of blood for healing. Fast casting helps for lag and other issues (8 fast casting) , and once killed, took priest first as he is trying to res some of the fallen. At this moment i interrupted him and henchmen do the rest 3.- by that time casters are pounding us badly, but with well of power and that +5 regen (and the henchmen healers) we are not still dead (actually we died once, but they were pretty few by that time. Ressed and did the rest). Go for them, necros first, bosses last as usual here. 3.- Keep tight, don't spread, focus fire.Henchmen are pretty good at this. 4.- Life siphon is not to keep me alive, but helps the healers as they have less work . I used it as target caller mostly, beginning the drain on the oponent. Helping the monks has been a key here. 5.- I cannot run out of energy. I have 2 energy sources for that. The battles can be quite long. Be prepared for that. Plan B?. Just didn't cross the bridge until cleared the path. Actually didn't even risk to finish the quest and keep Orozar at the bridge, so brought his brother to the exit and went for Orozar. Killed anything in the way (a few mobs) and end of the history. I'm not sure if his brother can die or not. Just kept him way back before engaging anything. Pretty easy Hope it helps Navaros
I don't have a screenshot because when Ural first died on my party and killed my whole party I presumed that happening was "par for the course" and hence it did not occur to me that a screenshot would be needed.
Anyhow he most definitely can die as he is being carried. I've seen it happen. Those who say he is just an item who can never die are 100% wrong and should therefore not comment on matters that they are ignorant about as if they know what they're talking about. Savio

This is because they are new to the situation and don't really know what is going on. I have done this myself several times. And you still haven't explained if Ural died before or after he was wrapped up, since it appears to be possible (but very unlikely) that Ural could die before the cutscene. I owe you/anyone ALL my ecto and shards if you can show me that Ural dies while wrapped up.
Oh and after run number 87 of doing Orozar... I don't think it's a good idea to call me ignorant. I have failed/succeded at that mission in probably every way possible, except for getting Ural killed pre cutscene. And I have done the mission in the normal way, and the "exploit" wayS. Oh and one other thing. It wouldn't have said "Ural has died," Since at no time when you fail a mission does it say WHY you failed. For example, if your team thinks the ghosts by the 2nd King in FoW "will be fine" and the one on the end dies, although he's not even listed in your party list, you get sent back. Does it say why? No. Savio
I think there's something that many people tend to forget when not lowering the bridge - you have to eliminate all the patrols in that area. If you don't, a patrol eventually wanders up to where Orozar is standing and they wipe the floor with him. Most of the time this isn't a problem as the patrols are usually at the intersection points, but occasionally a group wanders too far down the right corridor. You must make sure the patrols are gone before you leave, else you get a nasty surprise halfway back to the entrance.

I did not report something that's impossible. I saw it happen very clearly. Actually I was slightly wrong with my original report. It did not just say "Ural" has been killed". The exact line had his last name in it too. Just like the line it has if Orozar dies.
I believe it was "Ural Highstone has been killed." This happened after he was wrapped up and being carried by another ally. The fact that his name was listed in text like that just goes to show that the devs intended from him to be able to die at some point. Whether they since tried to remove that code from the game yet left it able to be activated somehow, I do not know. unienaule
You have no screenshot, nor can you reproduce it. gg
Mustache Mayhem
stories.. he's basically an item

Funny, funny! I will try this tonight when I am home. I will deliberately try to get the petrified dwarve killed.
BTW I did this many times and I never ever saw this happen. I will only believe it if I see it, either in your screenies or with my own eyes ![]() Lamf77
After the initial battle in Orozar (when you kill 3-5 enemy) Orozar wanders down to meet in bottom of the area. Can you go around the furnace and kill off the enemy before triggering the "defending" part of A? I have tried eliminating everything close, and I still get overwhelmed. I've tried having my character W/M run with the gear, but he eventually dies and they get Orozar before I can heal him. Any must have "skill" I am missing? Am I wasting my time wandering around the furnace killing enemies? I have gotten by every mission so far with henchman and this one has got me stumped!
Help! Savio
Ural update: I'm running around with Ural right now, he refuses to die. Even though I've taken how much damage now.
Lamf77, running around killing stuff really doesn't help the first part. All the enemies that come after you spawn rather than just stand around, so it's pointless. Lamf77
Finally bagged my ax & shield, and armed myself with my gold Icy Runic Hammer. Used skilled specifically designed to kick maximum @ss along with a healing spell & rebirth. I finally beat it!!! Just kept close to that whiny little Orozar, died a few times, but was able to complete quest A. For part b I cleared the way to the bridge and the way to the exit before clicking Orozar for part b. After clicking we walked to the bridge and watched the cut-scene. I then took his bundled brother right to the exit and.... yippi! I was done. For kix I went back to the opposite side of the bridge, lowered it and then got Orozar to escort him to the exit.
No more axes or swords when it comes to flat out melee for me! Sharp Blade
I've done the orozar quest the first time today, and i've made it, didn't find it that hard..., so here is the team:
2x Air Ele Spiker 1x Warrior/Nec <---- me ;-) 1x Aftershocker Warrior 1x Warrior/Monk 1x Wells-Nec 2x Healing Monks We were able to kill the enemies very fast and it was very easy with this team. unienaule
To clarify, this is the lazy man's way to do orozar.
1 Mo/R with Life Bond, Ess Bond, Life attune, Kiss of dwayna, Symbiosis and whatever else 1 E/Mo with Succor, Mending, Watchful Spirit, Heal other, heal breeze, kiss of dwayna, ether prodigy, res sig 1 gear tank (with obsidian flesh and earth 12 or 11 works best to keep enchants up) 5 of whatever The gear tank should never drop below half hp if symbiosis is up the whole time. Ashley Twig
I can only advise to do Orozar with hench. Unless you get a kick out of being anoyed by people who can't follow targets or can't target in a sense making order.
Last time I did Orozar with my elementalist (and people) we managed to get the brother to the exit without lowering the bridge (which is the key to an easy completition of that quest atm.) But some jerk decided to lower the bridge when we were at the exit. He collected the reward and left. Orozar soon got overwhelmed before the rest of us were able to collect the reward. At that point I decided, that I'll never again will do Orozar with ppl, unless I know them very good from previous missions/quests. Savio
That's why I have a Friends list. Friends ftw.

Just did this with my necro and henchies. No-one died. I guess a minion necro really works here. Minion necro wtf & ftw :P
