hey, im new to the PvP game mode. i got 1000 faction and unlocked a new item. i was wondering how or if i can use this item without creating a new character or even transfer this item onto my RPG character via storage.

No, items unlocked via faction simply become available for incorporation into new PvP ONLY characters. You don't get a copy of the item to use at that moment, and your RPG characters get nothing.

Items unlocked with faction cannot be used on your role playing character.
If you wish to use this unlocked item, you must create a new pvp character.
Items unlocked with your role playing character CAN be used in arena by either making a pvp character or manually travelling to an arena with your role playing character.

If you use your faction to unlock a skill and a PvP Only character that can use that skill then that skill will be available without remaking the character.
Example: you have PvP only E/R and you use your faction to unlock Frozen Soil. Your PvP only character will have access to this right away. Your PvE or RP character will however, have to find and buy the skill.

actually you cannot use it right away. you will not be able to use the skill you unlocked until you remake your character. I have no idea why anet has it like this, but you must remake your character before you can use that skill.
it is one of the very very few things i would change.

another thing, when i went to the priest to unlock skills, there were other NPC selling things. can you make money in tourny mode or rare items even?

ive always had to log on and off to get my unlocked skills to be ready to use.
