Last I saw this was in CoH, but the idea was a good one. If you take your level 20 back to Ascalon it would be nice if the level 4 baddies didn't aggro you. They would of course aggro any other chars that pass into their aggro bubble. Just makes life a bit less annoying if you go back to lowbie land.
I'm thinking somewhere around 4 levels greater in difference would still make sense as you get minimal exp at that point. I'm not suggesting they run away, but instead they react like the pre-searing mobs do.
Sure running would be made easy for getting folks from Ascalon to the shiver peaks since anyone could do it... but is that so bad? Running to Droknars would still require a competent runner as the mobs are definitly within your chars level range.
Just a thought to toss out for discussion.
Have lower level mobs (-4) ignore you

Yeah I hate it when devouer are nibbling at my lv 20 ankles doing -0 damage cause its annoying as all else. I mean, I get NOTHING from killing them off. It should be only lv6-8 attacking lv20 characters... I enjoyed walking around through the pre-searing areas with my lv 8 warrior and only being attacked by lv2-3 bears and wolves cause everything else ran in fear

This doesn't make any sense. Why would monsters suddenly ignore someone? How can they tell your strength just by looking at you? THEY'RE MONSTERS - THEY WANT TO KILL YOU.
I just don't see a Mergoyle/Grawl/Charr saying "So Bob, that Warrior has that 15k armor, we probably shouldn't mess with him... but that guy looks like he just got out of the searing!"
