I think this game lacks one big thing, and that is the ability to progress without requiring a full team with you.

I think pre-searing had the best overall gameplay for an individual.

in pre-searing not ALL mobs aggroed you, as well there were SOME that did (like the grawl archer guys)

but in pre-searing you could actually DO SOMETHING without NEEDING a damn monk all the time, that is one of the greatest peaves i have about this game, is the lack of playability by a single person, sure it promotes some tiny bit of teamwork, but i tihnk teamwork should be left for PvP, and PvE should be playable by 1 person, then if you wanted to you could have other people tag along to complete missions.

I hate seeing "LFM" or "GLF MONK" or "group looking for COMPETANT monk for mission!!!" or anything along those lines...

i would love to be able to explore and do a fair amount of quests and missions without requiring a full team with me, 1/2 the missions and quests should let you do them by yourself and the other 1/2 should be required with a team for completion, that way a single person can progress through the game fine, but if they want to 100% the game then they need to find a group and do the team required quests.

So to summarize, there should be a straight path that player can take throguh missions in order to progress throguh the game, and this path is completeable BY THEMSELVES, and then if they wanted to do "extra missions and quests" then they would REQUIRE a team in order to complete.

Basically what i am getting at is that i hate the fact the the entire game (PvE AND PvP) you need a full and competant team in order to get anywhere.

This is exactly while Henchmen were added into the game. These games are online-only for a reason...

Maybe I'm just missing the point of why someone would buy a game like this and expect they can do everything alone

just use hench mens. b4 u say that they suck and are only a.i, competent players have completed the entire rpg( story line) version of the game with only henchies.

groups do not need monks in pve, you only think you do. being a sub class monk will usually do fine, or just grab alesia and/ or prot monk henchies who's reaction time is many times better than the average player.

hench is 10 times better then the average player lol.

but I try to solo as much as possible with a warrior/monk build. But I to wish it was more like Diablo 2 where you could be with people and or had the ability to just go on your own... I like to go on my own.

Which is why these are two different games. That's like saying "I wish Diablo 2 had henchmen I could play with"

Henchmen take drops just like any standard player. If you have 7/8 of your party as henchmen, they take 87.5. If you have 3/4, they take 75%

Yeah Diablo you could buy a hench who did nothing but follow you around and fight with you. He/she never healed you, attacked your targets or got any % of the drops. And you could only take one Hench. Now GW is not all to different... you can go alone but in some areas its as hard as hell/next to impossible. Only thing I wish GW had that Diablo had... was the abilty to not be online to play. But at least its free online.
