Can I ever get a larger storage box? Also, can I ever get something that holds more than 5 for my secondary carrying devices, such as a big bag?

Yes later you can buy an item for 500g that will increase sack size from 5 to 10. There might be one for 10-15 too, I don't know.

You can't increase vault size.

I already have one belt pouch from a collector, and then in post searing received another from a collector. However, this second one in post searing I can't attach at all. It just sits in my regular inventory, and I can't salvage it back to hides or anything. Does anyone know why this is?

You can only have one belt pouch. If you look at the 4 slots for your storage bags, you'll see a backpack slot, a belt pouch slot, and 2 slots of bags. Once you've filled up the respective ones, you can't add more.
