dunno dont care dont get it. why sacrafice health to do damage when u can get shadow strike, which does more damage and it steals health. thats just me. if u use it well keep on doin what ur doin

evox the evil, If used with Dark Aura you can make a nice farming damage build. 
Your only problem would be healing, in which case I'd carry blood renewal and soul feast.

Eh, I like Dark Pact then Vampiric Gaze. Nice 100 damage with no net health loss .
Skill takes just about the same health from you as them, and at 5 energy, it's pretty easily spammable. Try Parasitic Bond then a few DP's and you'll get your health back.

From what I've read recently you can use dark pact in conjunction with dark aura and a bunch of monk enchantment to just spam the damage to things around you without hurting yourself.

You don't even need the monk stuff. If you use Aura of the Lich as your elite, then Blood Renewal will supply your health quite well. If you can spare the slot, Life Siphon makes it even better.

As mentioned many times already - The skill isn't that impressive on its own merits..but its fast cheap health sac and dmg.
