Trouble Zooming in with mouse

I've been hoping to get some good first person screenshots, and everywhere i look in forums it seems that in order obtain a first person view you have to zoom in with the camera. However, when i try to zoom in/out while playing, i get nothing. Ocassionally i can manage to zoom in a little bit, but it seems GW does not want to notice my mouse wheel, no matter how hard i try to use it.

Are there any options i can adjust in order to either configure my mouse wheel for Guild Wars or set zoom to the keyboard? ( i check the controls setup in the in game-menu and found nothing for zoom )

I've noticed that you have to be doing nothing at all to get the mouse wheel to work in zooming in and out.
No moving, no touching the keyboard, no mouse look, no nothing.

only your mouse wheel can be used, least that's how it works for me

I have a microsoft optical mouse with a scroll wheel and it works fine to zoom at any time.

Zoom works all the time for me too, so much so that sometimes I zoom while scrolling through mechant's item lists, lol.

Just use the scroll, should work.

Sometimes I find that even though I can use the wheel to zoom in and out, everynow and then it will disallow me to zoom into First person perspective.

When this happens I cant zoom all the way in again until I re-load the game.
