Do greens drop when you're carrying the exact same item?

Just wondering if anyone actually has seen the same green drop for them while they carry it? Also, perhaps this is harder to find out, but would a green drop if someone else in your party held the same item?

yes i traded for thragall's sheild put it on and went out hunting with henchmen first boss i see thargall and he droped his sheild happy and mad all at the same time

I've got a worths holy rod curse on me. Each time i kill him he drops this cursed rod for me. One time it was even two of them at the same time. No other green drops for me though, only this goddamn holy rod.. gnarr...

Interestingly enough I've noticed I get more green drops the more green items I carry. Case and point, going out farming for the first times after the initial update I went on like 50 runs and got nothing. But then getting more familiar with the area reduced the size of the farming group to 3 or 4 and stated to pickup some green drops. From then on I carry all the green items that I have not sold in my bag and I get more drops now. Even after they supposedly fixed the drop distribution I went on a farming trip with 3 others and I got like 4 drops while the rest of the group only got 2. I'm sure this isn't how it works but hey it HAS worked for me.

Hmmm...thanks guys, now it's safe to bring my axes to play.
