It seemed so to me too, but hey, I'm scared of those lying descriptions And the TGH thread was along the lines of what I had in mind...

Thanks.

I don't have the answer, but I have another question.
If you enchant someone with Life Bond, and then Cast Mark of Protection on them, would that end the Enchantment?
Mark of Protection Description says:
All your Protection Prayers are disabled for 10 seconds.

Or would it just keep you from being able to cast Life Bond for 10s.

I'm not sure about the damage redirected from Life Bond triggering Balthazar's Spirit. My gut instinct would be to say no, but I couldn't tell you without actually testing it out. I know when using Life Bond, you don't get numbers telling you how much damage you're taking via redirection through Life Bond- it's just subtracted from your health. However, it would have to be tested, and with the NDA as it is, I don't think I can give you a definite answer until next BWE.

As for the Mark of Protection/Life Bond, you won't be able to cast Life Bond for 10 seconds after using Mark of Protection. However, if you're already maintaining Life Bond on someone, the enchantment will remain in place.

Thanks Freyas.

Btw, while you're here , do you know (or maybe CxE does) when is the damage halving from LifeBond/LifeBarrier/thatnecrospell applied ?
Before of after damage reduction from runes/ascalon armor/damage-absorbing shields/... ?

Well, this I how I believe it works- I haven't done in-depth testing on the matter, though.

Player A maintains Life Bond on Player B(with 25 point reduction).
Player B has 2 damage reduction while enchanted from a shield
Player A has damage reduction via a rune of Absorption

Player B gets hit for 100 damage:
Player B takes 50 damage after Life Bond redirects damage.
That 50 damage is reduced by 2, giving an end result of 48 damage.

Player A takes 50 damage redirected by life bond.
That 50 damage is reduced by 25 via Life Bond
They are not the character that is being dealt damage, so damage reduction does not affect the health they lose. Thus, the absorption rune does not reduce damage in this case, and they end up taking the 25 damage redirected through Life Bond.

So- Player B gets 48 damage, Player A gets 25 damage- you just turned 100 damage against one person into 73 split on two different characters- it helps a lot versus focus-fire, though having damage reduction really only helps on the character actually getting hit.

Thanks for the information, Freyas.

So we can't abuse ping-ponging of damage too much.

But might still be fun in PvE, to have a tank like Wa/El(earth) with some tremendous armor boosting, life barriered and with several damage-absorbing items, that melee enemies (Riverside) would be close to do no damage to
