I don't know if this thread has been posted yet or not, but I just want to know what everyone's thoughts are. My friends and I just bought a guild hall, not realizing that it was really only good for PvP. Now we are all out of a lot of gold. I have a few suggestions that would make the guild halls more beneficial for all players, not just those using PvP.

1) Have a guildwide storage box that is accessable only to members of your guild, which would be located in the hall itself.

2) Have a 2nd storage box available for characters that you are able to place items in, such as a 'mailbox'. This would allow you to trade weapons, etc to your friends when they are not online.

3) Have certain furniture or items that you can purchase and place just to make the hall your own.

All of these options could have prices placed on them to make a nicely furnished guildhall expensive. I played Ultima Online for a long time (many moons ago) and one thing that I liked about it, was the ability to personalize your guildhall and make it your own. We had multiple chests, etc. Just wondering what everyone thinks. Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions?

What i reckon would be cool if you could pay a certian ammount of money, and have like a npc invasion of super difficulty, were guildies would have to work together to survive it. Of course some cool loot at the end to make it worth while would be sweet.

But yeah I total agree with the guild storage box, somewhere to place weps, crafting materials and the like, save deleting stuff only to turn around to find out theat someone could have used it.

My husband and I have very little interest in PvP whatsoever. I would like to see guildhalls made useful for PvE players. It would be interesting for high level characters to get something like a stronghold or a wizard's tower or a small barony. After all, characters are going to be really high level before they get a guildhall. I would like to see a small town with NPCs such as merchants and maybe even individualized henchmen that you could get to know over time. This would provide a setting for real role-playing. Why couldn't all guild members' characters have their own rooms in the guild hall or houses in the associated village that they could furnish however they wanted?

There could be profession-specific areas. Warriors could have a practise area and an armory to store and display their spare weapons and armor, monks a chapel or dojo, rangers target-shooting areas and kennels for their pets, elementalists and mesmers could have wizard's labs and libraries, and necromancers could be in charge of the graveyard and have a tomb or mausoleum area for experimentation and gothic spookiness. Maybe a character who spent time preparing and studying could get a small bonus on their next quest. Not enough to give them a game-breaking edge over characters who choose to hone their skills in the combat arena, just an alternative.

I like the idea of being able to interact with other guilds for role-playing as well as just beating one another up. Inns and taverns would be nice as well.

I would be willing to purchase a game expansion to get this kind of a guildhall, if it was done as well as the rest of the game is.

For that matter, I would like to see the ability for characters to buy a house even if they don't belong to a guild.

Good idea, but you need some way of stopping thiefes or guild hoppers from stealing things from your guild chest. Maybe have guild officers only- able to withdraw from guild chests?

Also, if you get kicked or leave the guild whilst you have items in your personal guild storage, it should be transfered into the next guild storage you get, or somehow come back to you.

This has suggested many times before.

That, or add an 'applicant' status, where the 'member' isn't fully a member, but newly recruited. Officers/Leader could promote them to member right away if they wanted, or have a few day-week-whatever trial time.

Tho suppose this would be a problem what is bit different from guild to guild..
