Why not make a bartender and take the ale of the merchants.
So someone who made like 100 k on a good deal can buy everyone a beer.

and maybe.. just maybe.. (just my D&D character speaking) bar brawls???

YES! Brawls would be a great idea. After a hard day of farming one could retire to a pitcher of ale and pick up fights with the locals.

I like the OPs idea. It would be nice to see areas with more to offer than just some huge area where a bunch of people are wondering around aimlessly.

Dare I ask...the people who are so desperate to see dancing girls... go to a REAL bar?

Lol. However, i'll sign because it would make the towns more interesting, and might give Dwarven Ale a decent purpose in the game other than making your screen go fuzzy.

Bar brawls are a nice idea in principle, but wouldn't it affect the other people in there? For example, like a real bar, some people would be in there just trying to chat or do nothing, while some morons would just pop in, cast Meteor Shower (for example) and leave.

So, in summary, /SIGNED but it will never happen

ah well. bar brawls are usually fought out with bottles and fists. and as for other ppl. just like the real thing. ppl get involved and ppl just sit in a corner chatting and stuff and watching the show..
its all possible :P

i would like the flavour it adds to the towns. a indoor place? cool! have it mainly in LA or Droknars. that way there's more people crowding into it for more fights to break out.

it really would give a real feeling to the game in my opinion.

and i just like taverns and inns, coz when i play D&D and there is an inn/tavern, i go in and have fun (brawls. ) gets me often killed, but hey what the heck, i had fun. last time i got totally disintegrated by a wizard lol ..

What about simply a /brawl emote that both players have to initiate? Goes through a stupid sort of animation, a winner is chosen at random, and they recieve like 5 gold from the loser who was chosen at random, or a free drink as paid for by them.

Plus, the inclusion of poker and similar games, I am floored by games which do not include these for their inns and general congregation areas, there are tons of people in towns which are active for GW, a lot more than in most other games where people just want to get the hell out of there, would be nice to place down bets as well, maybe I'm just a betting man.

Create like ten or so tables, include a few different games, about eight seats at each, the ability to bet, raise, etc., in games which can get a small crowd, that is no checkers or chess, but throwing some dice could work as well, and the ability to instantly order drinks.
