I have been using this build for about a week in the random arena. It works fairly well in random arena and still works good for finishing off players and just being a pain with the illusion spells in tombs and GvG. But in the other two you have to watch your exhaustion. Let me know what you think or ways to improve.
Illusion Magic 12
Earth magic 10 +3 superior rune
Energy Storage 9 +1 minor rune
Aura of restoration
Migrane (elite)
Phantom Pain
Conjure Phantsom
Arcane Echo
Obsidian Flame
Illusion of Weakness
Ressurection Signet
Also, I have both +15 -1energy chaos wand and +15 -1energy +30health off hand and use aeromancer armor. Although it doesnt matter which armor you use.
Total energy 102 with 2energy regen
Total health 485 after superior vigor
Use illusion of weakness at the start. Will heal you for 202 at some point in the match. Use aura of restortion right before you cast Migrane. Pick your target usually monk or another ele. Migrane then Phantom pain give 6degen for about 15secs then echo and flame does 100dmg ignoring armor. Repeat until target is dead. Scroll through opponents and phantsom or flame any other players who are low on health. This is mainly random arena...hard to find a group to all attack the same target.
Also a good thing about the build is that in Random Arena I think the order of attack is usually monk then mes so you arent target of pesky hexs and spells. Gives you time to do dmg! A good Mes can really hurt this build because you cant get rid of those hexs and they take your energy!!
I have been wanting to try in Team Arena but havent gotten anyone to go with. You need to be an Emo or monk!! ha.
Also, in GvG or tombs you could swap Illusion of Weakness (because you know you have a monk or three) for ward against melee or Imagned burned to slow down flag carrier. Maybe distortion?? Any other ideas?
Well, thats about the jest of it. I really enjoy playing it and just wanted to see what others thought.

Where you said "a good mesmer can really hurt this build", you mean it.
Your build falls under the fairly generic category of "nuker", honestly; there're no great combos in it or anything. Therefore, it's easily countered with mesmers- especially because of your two energy regen. If you run into any sort of mesmer who isn't an IW build, they're going to pretty much slam you down.
Speaking as a Me/N, this is.
What I'd suggest doing with this build is deciding exactly the purpose of it. You've got a strategy laid out with providing secondary damage-dealing, but you also have Migraine, which seems more like monk-hate (and yes, monks do hate migraine if they're not running hex breaker). I'd advise you to swap out Migraine for Obsidian Flesh, or invest some points in Domination for power spike/leak and hex breaker (!). I grind my teeth when I run into someone with obsidian flesh, and hex breaker can also be a pain if you can keep it up.
I might also advise not using the -1 energy regen items, simply because they're not worth it. Energy regen is, if anything, more important than total energy pool; the only thing that can counter energy regen is Ether Lord, and we all know that nobody uses ether lord... However, a good energy denial mesmer can have you ripping your hair out, literally, because you can't get up the energy to counter his or her draining.
Mm, mesmers.

I would have to agree migrane is a monk hate spell! I will try Obsidian Flesh though that could be nice for my personal protection. Thanks for the ideas.
The reason for the high energy is the exhaustion that is caused by running two Obsidian Flames. Any lower energy and I wouldnt be able to cast anything after a short while the high energy holds off the effect of exhaustion. Although maybe if I were to conserve on the spamming of the Flames for just a finishing blow.
Thanks for the advice

I agree with the use of the two +energy -regen items for this build, it's a high-exhaustion build with some fairly low energy costs...obsidian flame being only 5 energy. You're probably best off having the high energy pool and doing your best to ration it.

When I see you using migraine and conjure phantasm... I think of a warrior counter... So i would say transfer everything into Water, put one/two knockdown spells in and you have yourself an Anti-Warrior.

Tried Obsidian Armor...didnt work that great for random arena. Also, you need that energy for exahuation. It is a fun build to use and if anyone has any more ideas for that it would be great. Warriors and the skill Migrane are not the best as Warriors really dont cast that much to make Migrane effective.
