Kingdom Of Cantha?

I was wandering around Lions arch, when i saw Jiaju Tai named NPC. Shes the one who gives "Weaver of The Nebo" quest. I talked to her and she said that he comes from Cantha...



Couple questions popped in my mind:

1. What kinda of place Cantha is? Any stories about it?
2. Any other NPC talking about it?
3. Could this be the area of next expansion? Couse after final story mission there comes cinematic that shows boat sailing to sunset...

There are lots of people from Cantha scattered about. The merchants at Amnoon Oasis are from Cantha, the Tamer outside Ascalon City is from Cantha, the storage agents guild, etc. Their style of dress is different from Krytans and Ascalonians.

As for stories and about it, it's beyond the Ring of Fire, possibly a continent of its own or an extension of Tyria beyond the Crystal Desert. Not much else to go with other than they are mainly merchants and such.

The other thing about Canthans is that they only sell islands to people who are 'divine' or some such thing.

Proof of this spirituality is none other than a celestial sigil.

Which anyone can buy. Anyone at all.

Kind of like Catholic salvation.
