So I guess you can only have 1 of each on a staff ? I'm assuming you can add both a wrapping & a head ?
Say there is already certain goodies on a weapon. If you add a wrapping will it replace what was already there ? And , if so , say it has mulitple extras - which will it replace ?

First mod is head, last is wrapping.
Insightful Staff of Warding = Insightful staff head, wrapping of Warding
Yes, a staff head you apply will write over the current staff head. So make sure it's "better" before doing it!

A wrapping added on will only replace any wrapping that's already on the staff, and a head will only replace an existing head.
The wrapping should be the last word of the weapons name, like Water Staff of Enchanting would indicate that the +x% enchantment duration increase is because there's an enchanting wrapping already on the staff.
A head's name should be at the beginning of name. For example, Hale Inscribed Staff would indicate that the +x health on the staff is due to a Hale staff-head.
There are bonuses that can exist on a staff which are separate from a head or wrapping and which couldn't be replaced, but those must come already on the staff. They can't be added after the fact like a head or wrapping could.
For example, my water ele has a staff which I got from a collector. It came with no wrapping or head, but had +20% casting speed increase with water and +20% skill recharge with water. Now, in addition to this, I can add a wrapping and head of my choice to make one very nice weapon. The staff now effectively has 4 bonuses.

yes u can only have 1 head and 1 wrapping and yes they get replaced if you put another mod on your weapon - it will ask you if you want to proceed if you try.
As for how to tell head from wrap heres an example:
Hale Fire Staff of Enchanting
the prefix is always the head and the suffix is always the wrap
another example:
Insightful Holy Staff of Fortitude
u may not know what insightful etc mean so heres a breakdown
Insightful - is the +energy mod (only comes as a head - there are no +energy wraps)
Hale - is the +health mod (head)
Fortitude - the +health mod (wrap)
Defense - the defense mod (u can get a head or wrap)
i think that should get u thru for now

Can you add anything to a Trucheon ?
Jenosavel
No. Only the 2 handed caster weapons can be modded. The one handed weapons can't be upgraded and include: wands, rods, truncheons, deadly cesta, and cane. Likewise, the off-hands can't be modded either.

ok, I think I now what I need to do then. I've been trying to figure out the best way to equip myself with a weapon since I picked up so gold recently.
I should get that Fleshweaver that already comes with +60 H , + 10 E & add an insightful head (highest energy I can find) & fortitude wrapping (highest I can find)
I could do that with this one right ?
